HALO (With A Rejoyceful Animal Rescue) – Update

7/27/14 – We are nothing without our rescue friends. Together we can change the world. Little Halo is a shining example. Thank You to A Rejoyceful Animal Rescue for taking her in, we were thankful to play a role in her recovery along with the many individuals who donated for her medical bills.. Here is Halo’s story and her video from our friends at A Rejoyceful Animal Rescue.. ~ diana

“A good Samaritan found Halo sitting in the middle of the road terrified as she was completely blind due to a severe Upper respiratory infection. She is a wee little thing. She weighed in at less than a pound and is believed to only be about 6 weeks old. Halo has a severe upper respiratory infection as well as pneumonia. She is extremely emaciated, very dehydrated and very very weak. She cannot see out of her eyes and she cannot breathe out of her nose to smell. Her only senses right now are her hearing. Her respiratory infection was left un-treated and as a result she could potentially lose sight in both of her eyes. We will do everything we can to try and save her eyes. We need all the help we can get right now! Please send many prayers and positive vibes her way for a quick recovery. She has a long road ahead.” www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCIyeCk7CFw#t=34

PIGLET – Learns To Drive

7/22/14 – I know this is way too cute for words. I know everyone loves to start the day with a happy story and this is it!! Our little Piglet was one of 9 puppies who were the result of a backyard breeder. Thank God this sweetheart was brought into the Emergency when Gina was there, December 31, 2013. Now look at her. Thank You, Amanda Morris for the update. ~ diana

His Name is Heaven – Neveah

Remember “Neveah” who came to us after being found by a “Good Samaritan”? This stray kitten was rushed into the emergency in critical condition, stopped breathing and we provided emergency care including life saving medication. Our staff was able to bring this kitten back.. Her name was “Heaven” backwards. Well..this little kitten is actually a boy, lol, but we didn’t notice that at first. He went to be fostered and cared for by “Feline Friends Rescue” and he has a very potential home lined up. With the help of Animal Urgent And Critical Care Center and 4 paws 1 heart, this little kitten was given a 2nd chance.

ELSA – She Will No Longer Wander The Streets Alone

7/23/14 – Elsa came to us after being found on the street, alone, hungry, and dehydrated. We estimated her age to be about 1-2 weeks. 4 paws 1 heart friend, Amanda Morris, was kind enough to offer fostering and her expert bottle-feeding for little baby “Elsa” who is going to be needing a forever home or a rescue group very soon. ~ Gina

7/28/14 Update – Elsa may be going to her forever home this week!!!

HERCULES – We Always Love Seeing our Boy

Once Again, a big thanks to Tari Kern, Chris, and our very own Hercules for joining us and making our 5K Walk/Run a great success. ~ diana
“Hercules had a great time today at the 1st Annual 4 Paws 1 Heart 5K Run / Walk Fur Fun. Lots of people came out for the event and had fun for a good cause this morning. Hercules got to visit old friends and made some new ones too. He really liked Trinity, his 5k walking buddy, but he wasn’t too sure about the bubble machine!” Tari

FOSTERS NEEDED FOR THE MANY KITTENS BORN ON THE STREET

7/27/14 – Since July 1, 2014, 4 Paws 1 Heart has funded the vetting, vaccinating, and, in some cases, spaying and neutering of over 30 cats and kittens. Just one bill alone for one veterinarian was $1550. These were kittens/cats who were abandoned, thrown out, or in some cases feral. These cats/kittens were rescued from St. Clair Shores to Dowriver to Mt. Pleasant. Once again, we have significant bills coming in but we are thankful for all of our friends who continue to donate and attend our fundraisers. Here are a few of the 30. ~ diana
