RUM TUM TIGER NEEDS A HOME, MOM COOKIE HAS BEEN ADOPTED!

11/14/22 – Cookie was rescued in late July, 2022 by a good friend of 4p1h who we’ve helped on several occasions. Cookie was pregnant and our friend, planning ahead, asked if we could cover the potential medical needs. We said “yes”. Cookie had 6 kittens but she was very sick and ended up in emergency and when released she was unable to care for her babies. That is when our wonderful Village stepped in but not before two kittens died, leaving four very sick babies to be cared for. Over the months, several of our friends stepped up to help but unfortunately all but one would survive. That was Rum Tum Tiger. This little guy is a fighter and has overcome so many setbacks. And, now, although still suffering with some diarrhea, I was contacted and advised he was ready for his vaccines and neuter (along with a fecal test). That was all done October 27. Rum Tum tested negative for FIV and FeLV and received meds for his diarrhea issue. He will soon be ready for adoption and if you are interested in this beautiful boy, please contact Emily at: [email protected]

AND, one more piece of good news — COOKIE HAS BEEN ADOPTED!! What a journey for all. – diana.

$5,000 MATCH AND WHAT IT CAN DO – REMEMBERING CHLOE AND AURORA SUCCESS STORIES

11/14/22 – The $5,000 MATCH IS ON until November 24, 2022. Unfortunately in our quest to raise money and get back to ‘normal’, we have many opportunities for our friends to support the many fur orphans on our streets.

Here are a couple of happy updates to start your Monday lunch hour:

Chloe – It was back in June, 2022 when she was rescued with a very severe upper respiratory infection. Of course, 4p1h covered her medications and eventually her testing, vaccinations, and spay. Chloe was posted on our courtesy Petfinder site and last week she was adopted. This is the photo of her when she was rescued.

Aurora – It was September 2021 when Aurora was found near train tracks on the east side of Detroit. At only about 7-8 weeks she was very scared, emaciated, and dehydrated. All of her basic needs were taken care of but during her stay with a foster she had to have treatment for skin allergies. But, now all is good and Aurora has now been formally adopted and just had her one year birthday party. What a difference love and the support of our friends can make in the lives of people and animals. – diana.
