Mickey (aka Neo) – Looking Back Over the Past 8 Years

8/18/18 – HAPPY 8TH ANNIVERSARY TO 4 PAWS 1 HEART. To celebrate this momentous occasion, one of our Board members has offered to match up to $1,500 in donations made over the next week. As a reminder to all of our supporters, we will take a look back at some of our many miracles. This is Mickey (now Neo). It was January, 2017 when I was called about a sweet dog found licking frozen water in the street. He had a cherry eye and he turned out to be heart worm positive. We thank God for his rescuer and and for the donations that made our help possible. Here he is then and now since he’s been adopted by a loving family who adores him. 4 Paws 1 Heart Celebrates 8 Years of Funding Medical Treatment for Abandoned/Stray Animals

August 18, 2018 4 Paws 1 Heart celebrates its 8th Anniversary –over 5,000 animals and $665,888 in paid medical bills. And it couldn’t have happened without our rescue friends and our supporters. Starting tomorrow we have a $1,500 match starting as well as a trip down memory lane. Please be sure to check out our posting and share it — and to my family and friends, who have supported me over the past 8 years, — a sincere thank you. Also, a huge thank you to our Board of Directors, my husband Tony, and my dad who chose to honor my mom by having contributions made in her memory last July, 2017 when she passed away. We raised over $7,000 at that time and it truly made the difference in so many lives. I also want to recognize Kroger, Colleen’s Irish Pub, Harbor Lanes, Painting with a Twist,Jefferson Yacht Club, and 100 Women Who Care – Grosse Pointe as great community partners. ~ dianaCollage Pg 1 February 22 - April 4 Page 8

Raven – She Was Found at a Junk Yard Looking for Food Scraps

8/17/18 – Meet Raven. She had been spotted for about three days at a sailboat-junkyard, when Rebel Dogs Detroit was called. She has flea bitten ears and when taken to the vet, she was found to be heart worm positive. 4 Paws 1 Heart will be taking care of her heart worm treatment. Please say a prayer that Raven will recover and find a loving and forever home. Also, please consider donating so that we can continue to be there for these animals who have no one else. Stella – Found Under a Car, Crying Throughout the Night

8/16/18 – One of our rescue friends received a call about a kitten who was found under a car who had been crying though out the night. Our friend went to her aid and saw that the little baby was lethargic and had something wrong with her paw; she was immediately taken to the vet where it was found that Stella had a slight upper respiratory infection and conjunctivitis. She was also treated for the swollen paw.
She is now doing well and we assisted in paying for Stella to be spayed and vaccinated. It does take a Village. ~ dianastella w:lori 7:20:18

Jessie, Woody, and Buzz – No Longer on the Street Begging for Food

Felix and Singleton – One Older and One Two-Week Old Kitten – Both Rescued Needing Medical Assistance

8/13/18 – Sunday was a busy day for 4 Paws 1 Heart and our good friend, Denise Najera. We are so thankful for the many people who don’t turn their backs on these lost and abandoned souls, for our many knowledgeable friends, and especially for our supporters whose donations make this all possible. ~ diana

“CHANCE: Could you possibly find 2 cuter faces anywhere??? Sooo, we thought it was going to be a pretty uneventful, quiet Sunday…but nope!
Auntie Cynthia & Auntie Debra came & left with their supplies…all good.
Then mom gets a worried text about this adorable orange kid that we told you about last night that was literally rescued out of the woods in the middle of know where. Felix has obviously been out there a while. He was loaded with fleas, thin, missing a couple teeth, and has an ear thats very scarred from either animal attack or severe frostbite. His Rescuer needed some help assessing him to see if his situation was urgent. So he came to our house!!! Mom took care of his immediate needs which was his flea infestation, assessed him and determined he would be fine for tonight. His rescuer says hes eating like a champ the food mom sent last night.
Then mom got an email from Auntie Di about this little gray angel named Singleton and his foster also needed a bit of help getting the baby to eat & poo so he also came over to our house today with his foster mom! Mom got some formula & Miralax into him. He also has a wound to his neck, a puncture we’re not sure what it is. Botfly maybe, or animal. But Singleton is very sweet, playful and mom also cut his little razor nails and supplied his foster mom with extra formula, feeding syringes & a Miracle Nipple.
Both of these sweet, sweet kittys will be seen tomorrow at the vets thanks to 4 Paws 1 Heart and the amazing, wonderful humans who could not turn their back when an animal needed their help We’ll keep you posted!
Hopefully we can all get some mom time now and relax till nitenite time 😊🐱🐱😍”felix 8:12:18 singleton 8:12:18

Bubba – Found on the Streets and Would Have Been Euthanized

Meet “4 Paws 1 Heart”, “Bubba”. He was found on the streets and after his stray hold we took him in. Bubba is adorable, kind, and so gentle. He will have a great life from now on. It started when I saw him in a cage and in a fetal position shaking to death. He was a stray and he wouldn’t make eye contact…just literally terrified. I had to help him no matter what.
No one claimed him.
I just adore him. ♡ He is good with animals, people, and everyone he meets. Bubba is being treated for mange, he is being vaccinated, and he is gaining more confidence and happiness every day. ~ ginabubba 8:11:18

Dolly Purrton, Fuzz Aldren, Steve Purrwin – Emergency Rescue from a Barn

8/11/18 – RIP Sweet Dolly Purrton and Fuzz Aldren. Once again, our friend Andra, was called to the barn (where she plans to conduct TNR with our help) to help 3 kittens who were in very rough shape. She responded immediately and the kittens were taken to one of our vets where they received medications. The kittens were very weak and emaciated. Andra syringed fed them and tried very hard but Fuzz passed away Tuesday night in the arms of Andra, and last night Dolly passed. They are no longer in pain and thankfully died knowing love and not in a hot barn. Please say a prayer for the remaining kitten, Steve Purrwin. ~ diana

8/12/18 Update – Unfortunately, Steve Purrwin also passed away. ~ dianadolly purrton, fuzz Aldren, Steve Purrwin 8:11:18
