10/30/14  Update on the pup we are calling “Katniss” for her strength and survival. We now suspect she is at least a year old. She is eating, drinking, and on fluids. We started antibiotics last night for the infection from urine scald. Tonight she will get a nice warm bath and I made her a big bowl of hamburger/rice which she really enjoyed. Still no expression and you can see the fear in her eyes. I think with time and love we might get her spirit whole again. ~ Gina
