11/15/22 – On November 4, 2022, I received the following:
“Hello, my name is Brett, and me and my wife Shelby have been taking care of this underfed cat. It has been neglected, and coming around for food, and starting to stay with us. We’ve helped bring it back to health from grooming and getting rid of fleas to just giving the cat a nice home. It is missing an eye, and has not been sown up, which we believe is a serious health concern as well as probably not being spayed and chipped. We are able to feed it but our budget is so tight, there’s no way we can afford to fix this little lady up at the vet. If there’s anything you can do we would appreciate it so much. We are planning on taking her in, just with the right help she needs. Thanks for your time!”
Well, in anticipation of potential support from our followers, I authorized this baby’s visit. The family chose to call her “one eye” (hopefully temporarily). Yesterday she was seen by one of our partner doctors and she wasn’t actually missing an eye but the eye was so bad it needed to be removed–which I authorized.
There are just so many cases like this with fur orphans needing our help and I’m just so thankful to have so many engaged supporters. One Eye is now a permanent resident in a loving home because of the 4 Paws 1 Heart Village. – diana.
