3/20/23 – Last week was a busy week for cats needing help. Some serious and some just needing spay/neuter/vaccines and being released to where they were found. I’ll start with Puffins.

Puffins is a stray cat who had been showing up at the rescuers home but late last week he showed up dragging his hind legs. The rescuer thought he might have been hit by a car. We authorized an emergency visit where he was examined, had blood taken, as well as x rays. There were no breaks or sprains thankfully but he was found to have a severe infection and was given antibiotics. Today the doctor reported that his blood work and x rays looked good. This week Puffins will be taken to our partner vet, Patterson Veterinary Hospital, for a follow up exam and will be scheduled for his neuter. Puffins is doing great and is a very sweet cat who will never be outside again. – diana.
