4/16/23 – The rescue, Run Around Sue Cat Rescue, took her to a veterinary hospital who diagnosed fractures which would require orthopedic surgery or amputation. I suggested Raven be seen by one of our favorite doctors at Orion animal Hospital whom I trust implicitly and it was recommended that Raven’s leg be amputated for her current and future quality of life. Here is an update:
We want to take a minute and thank Diana for referring us to Orion Animal Hospital. They did such a fabulous job on Raven’s amputation! His staples were removed on Tuesday and he was fully vaccinated. They said he is completely healed and everything looks wonderful. We have a long road ahead of us. We believe he was out on his own for quite a while, and he obviously had traumatic experiences, so this cage has become his safe haven, and he really does not like to leave it. But soon he’s going to have a whole room to himself and hopefully we can get the items and toys and everything he needs to be comfortable and start trusting and healing emotionally.
We hope everyone will consider donating to 4 Paws 1 Heart they help strays get the medical attention they need. We could not have saved and given this sweet boy a second chance at a better life, if it had not been for them.
Please continue to pray for Raven, we will continue to keep everyone updated on his progress . Diana, Thank you!! You’ve been an amazing help. Your guidance and backing will give this beautiful boy a second chance at life – Run Around Sue Cat Rescue
P.S. Raven will be available for adoption, so please contact the rescue if you are interested in this beauty! – diana
