10/5/23 – Slate, Nickel, Granite, and Sterling were found on the streets on the east side of Detroit. Each one had upper respiratory infections. Treatment was authorized and everyone seemed to be doing better until August when something happened to Granite’s eye. Before we could respond to Melissa’s request for help, Granite’s eye ruptured and she was taken to emergency where it was determined that the eye would need removal. Melissa contacted us and approval was given for Granite to be taken to Orion Animal Hospital where she had her eye removed. Granite is a “little sweetheart” and she is looking for her furever home. Please consider giving this sweetheart a loving home with lots of love and contact Melissa at: [email protected]. – diana
