Love Never Gave Up on Ellie

6/1/26: Ellie was abandoned at Rouge Park last year. The officers that responded allegedly tried to shoot her and when the local animal control shelter got involved they were going to euthanize.

Her rescuer stepped up to help and took her in, but with some personal things going on she is unable to give Ellie the life she deserves.

We were contacted for help with medical and placement. Ellie tested positive for Heartworm Disease at her check up, so she was more then likely positive when found. It can take several months to show on testing.

4 Paws 1 Heart is unable to assist with placement, but we have said yes to helping get her treatment for Heartworm Disease while she is looking for her person.
