More Cats Left Behind

12/11/14 – Another sweet-tempered feline tossed out and found emaciated with frost bitten ears. Fortunately, she will be going to a foster home but she will need a forever home. She will be taken to the vet to be examined, spayed (if needed), tested, and vaccinated — compliments of 4 Paws 1 Heart and our generous supporters. Please contact Jo at [email protected] if you are interested in giving her a second chance at love. ~ dianajoadd12:11:14

MOLLY – Almost Hit By A Car — Needs Her Forever Home

11/14/14 – molly-1-11:14:14 molly-2-11:14:14 molly11:14:14Hi Everyone! I’m ♡Molly♡ and tonight I was almost run over by a car, but this nice man stopped and picked me up and took me to a hospital. They warmed me up, gave me some yummy food, and I got a nice warm soapy bath! Then they put me in some really soft blankets.. I was taken in under the wing of 4 paws 1 heart and I tested negative for bad stuff like, feline leukemia and FIV. Now I will get my vaccines and be looking for a fur-ever home. ♡ PS.
Please say a prayer for the other kitty that is in the cage right next door to me. He is much older and all black, but he’s hurt. They think he was hit by a car and they are trying to help him too…but he’s really sick. We will tell you about him tomorrow once we know more.

Freddie – Alone and on the Street on a Cold and Blustery Halloween Night

If you think the need ever ends or the cruelty ever stops, just ask a rescuer. This very sweet boy, Freddie, was reported walking the streets last night, emaciated and in very tough shape. Two independent rescuers who usually rescue cats and conduct TNR were able to capture him today, on this very cold and miserable day. Everyone was worried for him last night, not to mention worried for every poor cat and dog wandering the streets on the night before Halloween. It seems that some inhumans find great pleasure in setting these poor animals on fire and torturing them. Fortunately that didn’t happen to Freddie and he is now on his way to the vet which will be paid for by 4 Paws 1 Heart. He is not neutered but he is so emaciated and is shaking so badly, I doubt much more will be done other than treating his severe flea infestation and a general exam. We’ll take care of his other needs later. In the mean time, Freddie is in need of a foster home. Please contact Debra at 586-260-7150 if you can help. ~ diana
Update:  A Hopeful Heart Animal Rescue has taken in Freddie.  Anyone interested in giving him a forever home, should contact them on their facebook page. ~ dianafreddie

Rocky Has a Brand New Dad!

10/31/14  rockyw:newdad10:31:14Update on Rocky: If you’ll remember, Rocky was brought into the emergency already in liver and kidney failure. He was turning yellow. The caring and highly skilled staff of the Animal Urgent and Critical Care Center immediately started treating him. Although it was touch and go for awhile, Rocky is doing great and last night he went home with his new forever dad. Good Luck, Rocky, and may God watch over you and your new family. ~ diana

Dexter – Saved From A Life on the Streets

Prayers and Positive Energy Needed: This little guy, Dexter, was rescued by the side of the road. He had a bloody neck and a heavy chain hanging from him. He was very flea infested. His rescuers took him to the vet to be treated and attempted to find his owner without success. Within a few days he seemed to be in pain and they again took him to the vet. The x-rays showed he had bladder stones. The rescuers had already spent a considerable amount of money and still no owner stepped forward so after a week they reached out to 4 Paws 1 Heart. We agreed to help this sweet boy and this morning he will be operated on. The rescuers are committed to finding the perfect forever home (although it might be theirs). ~ diana

Update:  Dexter’s surgery was successful and he was neutered during the process.
