Gracie is one of 4 kittens born on the roof of a house in Grosse Pointe. Some mom cats give birth on rooftops because of the coyotes. The mom was killed by a Coyote, but the babies survived and were bottle fed from 2 weeks old, by the homeowner. She is looking for permanent placement and 4 Paws 1 heart covered medical. If you are interested I will connect you with her information. Gina[email protected]
Microchip, register, and report to the company if your pet gets lost. I’m a big believer in microchipping because it has proven to save lives especially if your pet winds up at a shelter that is at full capacity. Ask your veterinarian about microchipping your pet!
Last Monday 4 paws 1 heart was contacted about an injured stray. We were able to arrange an exam and then he returned Monday for sedation. The doctor quickly discovered the major injury was his jaw wasn’t attached. The humane thing to do was euthanize while he was under anesthesia. This is never an easy decision but none of us wanted him to suffer. Thank you to Kevin Anthony Krok for giving Butch love and kindness during his final days.
This is why your support is critical. Otherwise, this dog would have suffered a very long time.Gina

Sweet little Hope had her final vaccines and spay surgery yesterday. Hope was rescued by a neighbor after her owner put her outside to fend for herself when they moved. That’s when Hope was attacked by another animal and had bite wounds on her neck. She was also very underweight with an eye injury. Now she’s ready for adoption!!!! Please contact her foster momma Dee Brown Gudenau for details! Gina

Queso is still having skin flare up’s, but we started him on injection that seems to be helping. You can follow his story here by searching “Queso” or on our facebook page. The poor guy has been through so much but his rescuer has showered him with love. Gina
His rescuer reached out to me to see if we cold help because he appeared injured. Fortunately, we were able to get him examined today. His neck area is very swollen, he has dried bloody drool on his forelegs, there os a bad odor from his mouth, and we were unable to look inside his mouth due to pain. Full sedation will be needed to do a full exam. He is on his stray hold and in the meantime we started him on antibiotics and pain meds. Monday we will plan to do an exam to determine if there is a tumor, jaw damage, or something else causing the pain. The finder had to give 3 baths because the dog was so filthy. So far no one has claimed him. He was possibly clipped by a car. If you have any info leading to his owner please let the finder in this post know. I’ll update again on Monday. Gina

4/11/24 – He was found on the street – literally – after almost getting run over by a car. His rescuer named him Thumper and contacted us for help with getting him examined and vetted. When I asked Dianne if she would be keeping Thumper, she gave me a definitive YES. Dianne went on to tell me that she and her son had a cat; her son passed away in 2006 and their cat passed away 6 months later. When she rescued Thumper it was only days before her son’s heavenly birthday. Dianne said that Thumper had already given her much happiness. We both agreed that Thumper was lovingly sent to her by her son. – diana
