OLIVER ADOPTED! ROUGE NEXT

7/6/22 – An update from our 7/5/22 post regarding Oliver and Rouge. Oliver has been adopted and is doing great in his new home. (Yeah!). And, this morning I received this update on Rouge:

“This was what he (Rouge) was doing last night while fireworks were going off. We were listening to the air conditioner and classical music at 3/4 volume. This would surely have been different had you not helped me rescue him off the street. – Heather”

1 POUND KITTEN MAKING PROGRESS

7//6/22 – Prayer Warriors Needed! Our good friend, Bambi Pesti Hartter, the angel behind raising $25,000 in picking up and returning cans and bottles, contacted me yesterday about this very sick kitten. We couldn’t get him into any vet within a reasonable time and, thankfully, Gina DeLuca Jenio, suggested he be brought to her so she could start some medical treatment until we could get into a veterinary clinic. There have been so many animals needing our help — more so in the last few years — and I’m forever thankful that we have so many generous donors and supporters who provide us with the funds to make a difference in so many lives. – diana.

Last night I was contacted by a friend and supporter of 4 paws 1 heart regarding a very weak stray kitten living nex tdoor to her. She said he was just laying there. When she got him to me he could barley stand and he smelled like death. He is very sick, malnourished, muscles are all wasted away, and he is all bones. He can barely swallow because of the inflammation in his throat but he loves to be pet and he’s made improvement since last night. Paws crossed. I’ll need help with a name. I’d estimate him to be at least 12 weeks old and 2 pounds under weight. He weighs about 1 pound.. Thank yo Bambi Pesti Hartter for getting this baby off the street! – Gina

JUNO NEEDS A LOT OF HELP WITH FIP

7/5/22 – And lastly for today, this is one of those cases which require serious expenses and prayers. FIP is deadly and I’ve talked about it before. You can easily learn more about it by doing some online research. A couple of years ago I learned of various groups, one such is FIP Warriors, who have advocated for FIP stricken cats and are involved in connecting FIP victims with the experimental drugs which have been known to save many lives. In the past we have been involved in a few of such cases. this past weekend, we were able to help with providing the medicine Juno will need to hopefully get through this deadly disease. Prayers and, if possible, donations make a difference. – diana.

STAN DUMPED AT A CAT COLONY IS FRIENDLY, NOW ADOPTABLE AFTER HIS TREATMENTS

7/1/22 – Stan is another cat who showed up in a colony cared for by a rescuer we’ve assisted in the past. Bonnie, his rescuer believes he had been dumped in the colony because he had not been seen before. Stan appeared to be blind and he was very skinny and appeared to have an infection. I authorized Stan to be seen at Orion Animal Hospital. He had his appointment and he had to be sedated to be examined because he was very scared. He was neutered while under sedation. The doctor believed he’s about 8 years old. They also found bite wounds on his shoulder and there was a tick on him which was removed. He had lost some of his fur and what was left felt rough. The doctor also determined that some teeth needed to be removed. It was confirmed that Stan is partially blind in one eye.

Stan did have his dental work and he has become very friendly and is now looking for his furever home. Anyone interested in making this happen should contact [email protected] – diana.

BOB LEFT BEHIND BUT IN BETTER SHAPE WITH HIS TEETH EXTRACTIONS NOW NEEDS A HOME.

7/1/22 – Bob appeared to have been left behind when his family moved. He was lucky enough to show up at a person’s home whom we’ve helped in this past. Although very sweet, Bob seemed to be in a lot of pain. and when his rescuer took him in to be neutered and vaccinated it was determined that Bob needed some teeth extracted. We were contacted and approved the surgery which was eventually completed and now Bob is a happy boy no longer in pain and his rescuer is committed to finding him a furever home. – diana.

BOBBIE, LOOKING FOR A HOME AFTER RESCUE AND PAW AMPUTATION

6/30/22 – Meet Bobbie. He was rescued from a mobile home park where we have helped with a considerable number of cats needing vaccines/spay/neuter/and treatment for upper respiratory infections. This little guy was found with string wrapped around his little paw. When the string was removed, half of his paw fell off. Fortunately, we were able to get him into one of our favorite veterinary hospitals, Patterson Veterinary, and yesterday his little paw was removed. Anyone interested in Bobbie should contact me and I will get you in touch with his rescuers. [email protected]
