This is Sargent

9/29/13 – This is Sargent. He was brought into emergency last night. Sargent is a beautiful soft male all grey stray cat, between 1 and 1/2 and 2 years old, who was exposed to over-the-counter flea medication which caused him to have seizures and convulsions. He had to be sedated in order to stop the seizures. The only treatment is supportive care by giving him IV fluids around the clock and monitoring him closely. Please keep him in your prayers and If he pulls through this, we will need a rescue, foster or permanent home as soon as possible. Please contact Gina at [email protected]
10/1/13 – Updated pic of Sargent from last night.. He was curled in a little ball hugging my arm as I scratched his belly. He slightly opened his eyes and gave me a helpless little stare.. He was brought into emergency because he was exposed to dangerous flea medication. I wish that shit would be taken off the market! Frontline is in my opinion the safest.. His little body is so weak and tired from all the muscle convulsions and seizures that he still can not stand. Today is day 4 of hospitalization. Please SHARE:: Do not use Over- the-counter flea meds without checking with your vet first!!!! gina
