At 12:04 am on Christmas Eve, I received a call from one of our favorite Emergency Hospitals, Advanced Animal Emergency. I was asked if we would help an 8 week old puppy that was a “Christmas Present “. A present they could not keep, but surrendered to us to allow him the help he needed. I was told he is very, very, sick and in need of emergency medical care. We said yes.. The staff has been working very hard to save this 8 week old puppy who we suspect might have a virus called Leptospirosis. Please send your prayers….your prayers ALWAYS work, and he NEEDS them because he is very sick! Thank you, “Animal Urgent and Critical Care” doctors and staff for spending your Christmas Day caring for this beautiful 4 paws 1 heart puppy along with the many other emergencies, and thank you “Advanced Animal Emergency”, for sharing our mission..
Lesson? Do not buy animals as Christmas Presents.
