Asher is recovering from Toxoplasmosis

7/24/2024 -This beautiful boy now named Asher is recovering from Toxoplasmosis. This is the 1st case I’ve ever seen.

He was found dragging his rear legs and unable to urinate. His rescuer reached out to us for help almost 2 weeks ago. She was able to get his initial care covered with donations which really helped to get his treatment started. To keep cost down he was treated based on symptoms. However, the doctors feel certain he was positive based on lab work and his response to treatment.

On July 12th I was able to get him in over at Moore Veterinary Hospital for continued care and today his rescuer said he is urinating and now able to walk on his own! His last dose of meds is tomorrow and we will then help get his vaccines started. Gina https://4paws1heart.org/donations/

Five Beauties Showed Up in a Colony

7/24/24 – These 5 beauties showed up in a colony where the caregiver believed everyone had been spayed/neutered.

They will start their vetting with vaccinations and deworming at All About Animals in Auburn Hills and we are happy to help.

Understanding the state of our economy, donations have been slow and fundraisers have been few — although look to Fall for a couple of fundraisers that are being planned at this time — but in the mean time, anything you can afford will help make a difference.

Two Black Beauties Dropped off at a Fire Station

7/24/24 – These two beauties, Ebony, and sibling were ‘dropped off’ at a fire station in St. Joseph, MI. There was a call out for help and a good Samaritan stepped up to take the kitties in — not knowing the one, Ebony, had a degloved tail. The organization SNIP contacted us to see if we could cover the tail amputation surgery and, fortunately, the cost of the surgery was very reasonable and we were able to cover it. The surgery is scheduled for Monday, July 29, so keep Ebony in your prayers. SNIP has provided vouchers to cover the spay/neuter and vaccines. Once again a Village of Caring Individuals come together to make a difference! – diana https://4paws1heart.org/donations/
