A huge thank you to the participants of the Macomb County Employee Casual Day Program

9/24/13 – A huge thank you to the participants of the Macomb County Employee Casual Day Program for making 4 Paws 1 Heart the recipients of their donations during the month of August. Those of you who know me know that my two passions (besides my family) are Macomb County and making a difference for abandoned animals. I’ve not only lived in the County for the past 41 years but during my career worked for many years with a variety of Macomb County departments. I’ve always felt that Macomb County had some of the most dedicated and efficient employees amongst all of the counties I worked with. Many animals will be helped because of their generosity. ~ diana

My Painted Paws

9/23/13 – A BIG thank you to our friend, Brigette Weller of My Painted Paws, for three fun and beautiful paintings. We raffled off the smallest of the paintings at the Women’s Expo and raised $65 for our abandoned babies. This photo is the larger painting which we’re holding for the right event. Check out the My Painted Paws fb page. Brigette uses the paw prints of rescue animals (and will also use your animal for your own painting) for her paintings. Everyone loved it. ~ diana

Ferndale DIY Street Fair

9/15/13 – On Friday night, 9/13/13, we had a great time manning a beer tent at the Ferndale DIY Street Fair and all tips went to 4 Paws 1 Heart. I want to thank a few people who helped make it happen:

Lori from Raw Radio X, Staci from Woodward Avenue Brewers and her husband, Matthew, my volunteer team — Melissa Wills-Jeffrey, Donna, Denny, Tony G, Dar Chip, Mike Pennefather, and my husband, the ever popular — Tony. I also want to thank a few of our friends and family who stopped by to drop some money in the tip jar –Anthony Canestrelli, Angela Rogensues, Eric (EZ Myers), and Kristin Lyn. We made $380 which will go a long way to make a difference for abandoned and abused animals. I also want to thank the representative from Pabst Blue Ribbon who provided a dog house for our tent and allowed us to keep it for future events. We brought the dog house home this afternoon and as you can see, it’s not just for dogs. ~ diana
