Carson Coupon Book Sales

10/27/13 – A huge thank you to our Board members, Darlene and Melissa, and Hercules’ mom and dad, Chris and Tari for joining me in selling the Carson’s coupon books yesterday. Understandably, Roscoe and Hercules attracted much attention which resulted in us selling 43 books and bringing much awareness to 4 Paws 1 Heart!! Their fur brothers and sisters are very proud of them. ~ diana

Come to Carson’s Tommorrow at Partridge Creek

10/25/13:  Come to Carson’s tomorrow at Partridge Creek to see Hercules, Roscoe, and some of the Board members of 4 Paws 1 Heart. 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ~ diana
Hello friends!
I am so excited because I am going to see all my friends from 4 Paws 1 Heart tomorrow at Carson’s at Partridge Creek for their coupon book fundraiser from 10am to noon. Stop by and see me there too!
PLUS, I get to see them again and lots of kids too at People, Pets & Vets next Saturday (11/2/13) at Macomb Community College, Garfield/M-59 campus, Building E from 11am to 3pm. It’s a great event to learn about animals and animal care. Come check it out and say hi! Please DON’T bring personal pets though…there are plenty of animals there to meet already!

Handsome and Much Loved Hercules

Our very handsome, and much loved, Hercules! ~ Auntie Di
Hercules wanted to say hi and remind everyone go get out and enjoy the fall. He is looking forward to visiting cider mills, the mall and some upcoming 4 Paws 1 Heart fundraisers too. He celebrated National Dog Walk week with a couple stops at Partridge Creek to sneak a run through the fountain before the end of the season (dogs aren’t really allowed in the jets so please don’t tell anyone!). He is planning to finish the week with the MEGA March at Stony Creek Metropark on Sunday! Pawsitive Steps Rehab has a registered walking team. Join the team and you can walk with Hercules to help raise funds for the Michigan Humane Society – another good cause and a great way to finish out National Dog Walk Week!

Hercules Says Enjoy Your Holiday

7/4/13  We love our Hercules. What better way to wish everyone a blessed day of freedom in the most wonderful Country in this world — Matthew Virgadamo, Gina DeLuca, and 4 Paws 1 Heart gave Hercules the freedom to be the dog he is today and we are beyond thankful to all of our military men and women for giving us the freedom we all enjoy today. May God Bless Everyone. ~ diana
Happy Birthday America from Hercules and the rest of the staff of Pawsitive Steps Rehabilitation & Therapy for Pets! Please enjoy your holiday safely!

Hercules

4/21/13 I have to say that I didn’t grow up with any pets. And, over the last 34 years I’ve only had cats. But, family members have dogs and I love them dearly. Then Hercules came into our lives and I can’t tell you what a joy that was. Hercules was so broken when he first came to us from Matt Virgadamo who was the ACO in Eastpointe at the time. Gina took him in to foster and was there for the trial against Herc’s owner. Unfortunately the pos only got a year probation but Hercules got a chance at a new life. We’ve learned a lot since then. Gina took him everywhere to socialize him amongst good human beings. I’ll never forget the day last year when we took him to the Paul Mitchell beauty school. On our way home he just collapsed in the back seat after a very tiring day of belly rubs. Hercules is a special being who stills gets so excited when he hears Gina’s voice. I thought that I would throw a few photos of him together. Here he is shortly after he was brought to us; then the photo of him falling asleep in the car; a photo of him at Derek and Penny’s with their little one; and finally a photo taken of him by my friend, Joe Fabian. And, as always, we are very thankful for Lori Jobak of 4Paws Health & Wellness who worked with our Herc for 9 months providing hydro-therapy and getting helping Herc to once again be able to walk and to Dr. Tari Kern and her husband, Chris, who miraculously came to us and adopted this very special boy. ~ diana

Hercules – the Rochester Patch

From Hercules:
Hello everyone!
I am so excited that I just had to tell you all right away.  I was in the news earlier this week, but it was for good stuff this time.  We had a reporter from the Rochester Patch come out on Monday to visit the office where I work and he really liked me – I could tell.  He used his camera a lot and asked a bunch of questions, which was fine because I got to enjoy my favorite goodie while showing off (a peanut butter kong)!  The story was on Tuesday’s internet paper and the link is here if you want to check it out!  http://rochester.patch.com/articles/pawsitive-steps-uses-physical-therapy-to-rehabilitate-pets#video-14018691  None of this would have been possible if things hadn’t changed dramatically for me last spring.  I am forever grateful for the new lease on life that 4 Paws 1 Heart gave me…it is nearly the one year anniversary of my rescue and my life is so much better because of the wonderful people involved there.  Keep up the pawsitive work!

Hercules Update

HERCULES UPDATE:
Hello everyone!
Lots of big things going on this weekend…4 Paws 1 Heart has a disco fundraiser which sounds like lots of fun.  I don’t have any disco attire so I am sending my folks to that one in my place.  However, I will be the master of ceremonies at the Pawsitive Steps Rehabilitation & Therapy for Pets Open House (also on Saturday, April 13th from 10am to 1pm) – more info at this link http://www.pawsitivestepsrehab.com/news/.  Hopefully, you can squeeze both events into your weekend.  I saw some old friends yesterday at Partridge Creek which was really fun.  I also met several new friends which was just grand!  Isn’t the warmer weather just the best?  I can’t wait to spend all day basking in the sun sprawled in the grass after a good play session.  Those are today’s puppy dreams!
Hope to see you this weekend!

Hercules and Pawsitive Steps Ribbon Cutting Ceremoney

Wow, was today an exciting day! We had a BIG event at the office today and lots of people came over just to see me! Pawsitive Steps Rehabilitation & Therapy for Pets had a ribbon cutting ceremony and I got lots of attention and treats! The City of Rochester Hills Mayor Bryan Barnett even came to meet me! I got to show everyone how the land treadmill and underwater treadmill work – they were all very impressed. It was so much fun – everyone wanted to pet me and give me goodies.

I wish that my whole fan club could have made it today, but we will have another big event next month – it’s called an open house, but it is just for humans (except I get to be there as usual). The open house will be held on Saturday, April 13th from 10am to 1pm at Pawsitive Steps Rehabilitation & Therapy for Pets (1894 Star Batt Drive, Rochester Hills, MI 48309). I would love to see you all there!

Pawsitively yours,

Hercules Update

Hi everyone!
I have been very busy over the last couple weeks. I got a job and I get paid in treats! I get to go to work at Pawsitive Steps Rehabilitation & Therapy for Pets everyday now that the office is open! My folks have been busy getting the office ready and I have been helping out. I get to test the equipment and play in the exercise room when it is not in use. There is an underwater treadmill, which is lots of fun. I like to splash with my feet and chew at the water. The land treadmill is neat, but not as fun as the one with water. When we get company at the office, I get to greet them. I am very tired at night because I don’t get my afternoon nap lately. I still get to visit with folks at Partridge Creek on the weekends, but we go when the work is done. If you are in the area, drop by the office to say hi! Or check out the websitehttp://www.pawsitivestepsrehab.com/ or our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/PawsitiveStepsRehab – I get to make posts there sometimes too!
Have a pawsitive day!
