7 KITTENS WILL NEED HOMES AFTER TREATMENT

7/19/23 – We were contacted last Friday about 7 kittens who were in located in the Flint area. As the posting says, many with eye infections and one you can see who may need a possible eye removal. Upon receiving the request, I authorized everyone to be seen at All About Animals in Flint. Fortunately, the person who contacted me today; all seven were trapped and will be taken into All About Animals but the finder is searching for a rescue group who could take them in after treatment and find furever homes. If you or someone you know can help with that aspect, please contact Shelby at: [email protected]

We will update as we get further information. – diana

LADY NEEDS A HOME

7/19/23 – Lady was scheduled to be euthanized at the local shelter when she was rescued by Amanda. Amanda contacted 4 Paws 1 Heart and we took care of all of her medical needs so that she could be ready for adoption. Amanda found whom she thought would be the perfect home, and it was for awhile, but then the adopter’s had job changes and was no longer able to give young Lady the love she wanted. Lady was returned to Amanda. As Amanda states here, she has had her share of medical issues and lately has taken on a couple of new jobs and is not in the position of keeping this fun puppy of about 2 years old. Lady (LadyBug) is a beauty and if anyone is interested in giving her that furever home, please contact Amanda as indicated on the photo. Please share and paws crossed. – diana

TIGER’S SURGERY UPDATE

7/18/23 – Tiger’s story was posted on 7/15/23. He was seen yesterday at Orion Animal Hospital for a potential hernia operation. The surgery is now scheduled this coming Friday, July 21. He’s a little guy — too little even to be neutered — but he will be with the best. And, when he has recovered, we will take care of his vaccines and neuter. Please remember him in your prayers. – diana

WINNIE, SARA AND MARY WERE THREE OF 45 CATS

7/17/23 – Rescued from a hoarding situation. Fortunately, the owner of the home had taken good care of the cats (although not spay/neuter) so significant medical wasn’t needed. An independent rescuer involved in the rescue was able to help with 15 cats and was down to these three when we were asked to help. They were taken to our good friends at The Paws Clinic and are with fosters who will try to find their furever homes. – diana

MIDGE AND ODIN ARE TWO OF 8 KITTENS FOUND ON THE STREETS

7/17/23 – Although most of them had diarrhea, Midge and Odin appeared to be in worse shape and not gaining weight. Macomb County Animal Control helped with 6 kittens and took them in and we agreed to help with Midge and Odin. They were taken to Orion Animal Hospital where they were both treated for severe diarrhea. Midge had to return to the hospital to be treated with antibiotics. Their rescuer was in close contact with me and Midge and Odin appear to now be doing well. – diana

RIP NOSY

7/17/23 – She was rescued from the streets with a prolapsed rectum. The finder was able to get a sponsor to cover treatment at an emergency hospital because she couldn’t get into any other vet clinics. Nosy had surgery last Thursday and was scheduled to have her stitches removed this past Saturday. We offered to pay for the follow up visit which would require sedation, a follow up exam, and the stitches removal. Unfortunately, during the procedure the rectum prolapsed again and Nosy didn’t survive. Nosy’s rescuer tried so hard and I pray she can find some comfort in knowing that Nosy at least knew love which would have never happened had she been allowed to die on the streets. I wish we would save them all but there’s times when God has other plans. – diana

TIGER AND HIS MOM AND SIBLINGS WILL NEED HOMES

7/15/23 – Tiger and his mom and siblings were discovered by the family dog. Fortunately, everyone was able to be captured and taken to a veterinary to be examined, spayed/neutered, and vaccinated (although too young for rabies and snap test). Everyone but one, Tiger, appeared to be in good condition. The doctor advised that Tiger had a hernia which needed surgery. The family contacted me and Tiger will be seen by one of the great doctors at Orion Animal Hospital on Monday, July 17. Prayers for this very sweet little guy who will be looking for his furever home (along with his siblings). – diana

MIRZAPAN PROGRESS

It’s hard to feed and video but I wanted to show the progress, and I’m very haply with these results. He’s definitely got the will to live. Gina

Day #2 We are eating, eyes are opening, sitting up, horrible diarrhea is better, and this is all progress! Mirzapan (Marzipan in a previous post) is on his way to a new journey where he will have life.

Thank you 4 Paws 1 Heart for covering his continued medical care and the staff at Moore Veterinary for helping him survive.

Tomorrow we will do 1 more day of I V Fluids and I suspect Mirzapan will hold his own until we need to see him for his kitten boosters.

Little tough guy who is surrounded by love and care from his rescuers, Aimee M Martin Lincoln and Andrea Dow .

If you would like to help us keep helping animals like this baby donations can be made at this link.. Thank you!
