9/23/24 – This family was living under the house of a kind woman who had been trying to trap them for the past few months. She was finally able to capture the mom (Mama Pixie) and the 3 (3-4 month year old) kittens (Scholar, Spirit, and Squeaky) when a raccoon was trying to attack the mom and one of the kittens.
There is also another cat who the rescuer thinks is the dad but he has been elusive thus far. The family will be taken to All About Animals in Flint to be tested, vaccinated, and spayed complements of 4 Paws 1 Heart and our donors. – diana https://4paws1heart.org/donations/
9/23/24 – Meet Sweet Midnight. We were contacted in late August about a kitty who once again showed up after two years of not being seen. The family had first started feeding her as a stray 3 years ago. This time, the kitty showed up with what appeared to be her third eyelid being stuck to her eye.
The family took Midnight to a veterinary clinic where the doctor recommended Midnight’s eye be removed. The family could not afford that and contacted us. We were thankful to help in that this baby would also have a furever home once she recovers from not only the eye removal but severe ear mites and what appeared to be a broken rib. Midnight’s surgery was completed this past week and here is an update from the family:
“Diana, She is already feeling much better I can tell by how much more active and loving she is being, rubbing up against everything in her path with a happy tail fluttering behind.
Thank you from Miss Midnight and a special Thank You from my family, we love all the strays that show up here in need as if they were our own and give them lots of Love & comfort & as much care as we can until they find their furever home Thank you for helping Midnight along her way!” Without the support of our supporters, animal and human lives would not be changed. Thank you-diana https://4paws1heart.org/donations/

9/19/24 – In August we were contacted by a woman who took in a five-month old kitty who was found on the street. She tried to find the owners without success.
It turned out that the sweetie was pregnant and she ended up having four kittens. The kittens were around 4 weeks old when she contacted 4 paws 1 heart. We authorized the mom to be tested and the entire family to be vaccinated and spayed/neutered when appropriate.

9/16/24 This is Smores! We recently helped him get an exam, vaccines, dewormer, and prevention.
He has parasites and unfortunately, he has a heart murmur and needs a cardiologist. This weekend he was adopted and the new family will be following up with his care.
9/15/24 This is Tiny. He was born from a feral cat family in Saint Clair Shores. The rescuer needed help because Tiny was sick with a respiratory infection and half the size of the others. We helped get him started on his necessary medication but he is still living outside and he needs a home. There are a few adults and kittens that live on the property and need to be fixed and released back out because they are feral. If anyone can help with placement or help this kind resident with trap neuter release please let me know. She’s doing her best but she cannot bring them in or afford medical for all of them. 9/13/24 – Sweet little Ember is holding on and making baby increments of improvement daily. She was dewormed 6 days ago and 2 days later started shedding a lot of worms and diarrhea which took a toll on her little body. She was needing constant baths and we added in a probiotic.
I’m actually surprised she is still with us, but she’s also in very good hands with a seasoned technician.
9/12/2024 – Surgery went well. He is awake and comfortable.
Huge thank you to one of our amazing surgeons, Dr Hilton. It was a very unique injury. There was lysis of the humerus, radius, and ulna due to an infection, and the Radial Nerve was entrapped and pinched within the humerus bone.
His overall cost of care with Surgery is a lot, and he still needs vaccines. Please donate if you can. https://4paws1heart.org/donations/ Gina
