3/23/26: This homeless dog was found on the street, no one claimed him, and he tested positive for advanced Heartworm Disease. His rescuer decided to keep him and here is the update from yesterday:
Dear Gina and the 4 Paws 1 Heart team,
I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your help. You supported us without hesitation and truly saved my dog’s life.
As of March 10th, he is officially heartworm-free. His health has completely improved; he has so much more energy and is much happier overall. He can finally play, go for walks, and just be a dog again. The veterinarian at All About Animals mentioned that he likely had heartworms for about three years, which had caused his heart to double in size.
You are the reason he has this second chance to live a normal, happy life. My entire family is so relieved, and we appreciate your organization more than you could ever imagine.
Best regards,
Zach Pfromm
