Kittens of Spring, 2016

5/10/16 – It all started a couple of weeks ago when an emergency hospital contacted us about two kittens brought in by a caring man who had found them living under a mobile home. 4 Paws 1 Heart agreed to pay for their medical care in that they both suffered from upper respiratory infections. But, the man advised there were at least two more plus the mom. With the help of our Village, the two kittens went to a foster home and, of course, we called in the master trapper extraordinaire, Debra Berolatti to help trap the others. Debra was quickly able to catch the third baby but the fourth and the mom were elusive. Then, just a few days ago, the mom was trapped and we were able to get her spayed and vaccinated. But, the fourth baby was still unattainable. Fortunately, this now became a challenge for our friend, Debra. She knew the baby was there and we were all concerned about her survival, especially knowing that all of the babies had upper respiratory infections. The kitten’s meows could be heard under the mobile home behind the insulating walls. So, Debra went in fully clothed and ready to rescue this baby. Thankfully, she was successful and, what we hope, is the last kitten, weighing much less than the others, was rescued! The entire family is now with our friend, Patricia Brown. They will be soon looking for their forever homes. We think that mama was a lost cat or dumped by her owners because she is not feral. All medical will be paid by 4 Paws 1 Heart before the family goes to their forever homes. ~ dianakittens 5:10:16 kittens w:debra 5:10:16 kittenw:debra5:101:6 catw:debraberolatti5:10:16
