7/4/18 – Happy Independence Day to all of our rescue friends and their beautiful rescues. As we celebrate our freedom today, I would also like to celebrate those many caring people who never turn their back on an animal in need. And, by doing so, free so many animals from pain and abuse.

We were contacted by our friends at Devoted Friends Animal Society about a kitten with a diaphragmatic hernia due to being hit by a car. Louie’s insides were pushing through his diaphragm. You can imagine that surgery wasn’t cheap but Louie’s prognosis was good. 4 Paws 1 Heart could not cover the total cost but we were happy to help. Louie had his surgery and is now doing great.
