GUS – HAPPY UDATE IN HIS UP NORTH HOME WITH HIS NEW ‘BRIDE”

6/1//22 – Happy Update!! It was 3 years ago when Gus (aka Blaz), found his way into the yard of a wonderful woman in Detroit, Alanda. Animals seem to have a way of finding that one special person who will help them without question and on a few other occasions Alanda has contacted us for medical assistance. When Gus showed up we were contacted and immediately made arrangements for Gus to be seen by a vet. Unfortunately, he tested positive for heart worm and so the painful treatment began. We were so very happy when Gus completed his treatment with flying colors and was adopted by a friend who lives in the northern part of MI. Today Gus is living the life and actually has recently made a female rescue ‘his bride’. Continued thanks to Alanda and our friends Albert and Pauline for making a difference in this one orphan’s life. – diana.

6/1/22 – GEORGE – FOUND IN A YARD; EYES SHUT AND VERY MALNOURISHED

6/1/22 – This is George. He turned up in my dad’s neighbor’s yard. He had a severe upper respiratory infection. I was contacted by my dad and after speaking with the neighbor and Gina, George was taken to Gina at Moore Veterinary a week ago; his eyes were sealed shut. Gina actually thought his eyes were both ruptured because when she applied a warm compress and slight pressure to clean them, a yellow discharge came oozing out. He hadn’t eaten, he was very weak, crying constantly, sneezing, and very underweight. His rescuer and my dad’s great neighbor, Jenn, followed all medication directions and took care of him around the clock. Yesterday, one week later, Gina visited him for a quick few minutes and he looked amazing! He is also adorable! We have covered his medical care, and the rescuer might have a potential home lined up. If not, he’ll be available for adoption at Moore Veterinary Hospital. Here is a couple of before photos and now that he is doing so much better. George is about 9 weeks old.

A huge thank you to Jenn, dad’s neighbor, and Gina for being the Animal Angel that she is. – diana.

6/1/22 – MILLIE – FOUND AT A CIDER MILL; INFESTED WITH FLEAS AND MALNOURISHED

6/1/22 – Meet Millie. She was found by Yates Cider Mill in Oakland County, MI. She was infested with fleas and very malnourished. She probably wouldn’t have survived much longer had her rescuer, Lea, not taken her in. 4 paws 1 heart has covered her check up, lab work, medications, and she has made incredible improvement especially with the help of Julie and Tracey. They have opened their hearts and homes to taking care of her emotionally and medically.

Millie is now stronger, very lovable, and playful. She is about 8 weeks old and up for adoption at Moore Vet Hospital. If you are the one to give her a forever home and would like an application please email me at [email protected].

Gina.

Millie also enjoys watching cartoons.

5/27/22 – MILO UPDATE

This is what it’s all about..♡ A letter I received yesterday..

Gina,

I just wanted to say thank you to you, the staff and to 4 Paws 1 Heart foundation for taking care of Milo and covering his vet bills. It is greatly appreciated.

By posting Milo on the 4 Paws 1 Heart web-sight Milo is now in a forever home. As hard as it was to give him up I know he will be well taken care of by his new adopted family.

They sent me a text message letting me know how things where going. Their cat Ollie has welcomed Milo into his home. They are getting to know each other. There was been no fighting or hissing going on, which is a good. We were able to let Milo out of his cage when we were there. He walked the place, used the scratching post, played with toys and went looking for food and water.

She invited us to come and see how Milo is doing. She saw how hard it was for me and especially my youngest son Scott having to leave Milo at his new family. Scott kept saying I don’t know if I’m comfortable letting Milo stay here but he finally said ok. What made it even hard was when we left Milo was at the screen door watching us leave without him. Which brought tears to our eyes.

We all miss him here.

Thank you

Laura
