QUESO

11/14/23 Sweet little Queso was found on the street in horrible neglected condition. His skin was raw, nails were over an inch long, urine and feces scalding, haunched back, limping, and terrified. His rescuer contacted us about 5 weeks ago and we began treating Queso. Last week he had his neuter, dental, and x rays of his spine were taken. There are a couple of vertebrae on his spine that are fused together. We don’t know the cause but all we can do at this stage is hope for a comfortable quality of life from here on out. His mouth was also rotten and he needed 6 teeth extracted, many were missing, and only 5 are left. His rescuer is committed and we did our best to assist in giving Queso the best possible start. If you would like to help towards the bills for this sweet boy our donation link is:

This is why we need our supporters, like you because without our help Dexter would have continued to suffer.

THIS IS NUTMEG

11/12/23 She wandered onto to porch of a good samaritan in Detroit with a wound on her neck. 4 Paws 1 Heart was contacted for help to have her medically treated. Unfortunately, the wound doesn’t seem to want to heal so we have authorized Nutmeg to be rechecked. Donations from now until 11/20 are being matched by a supporter, so you can double your donation today! Please keep her in your prayers for a recovery. Gina

DOTTIE UPDATE

11/11/23. Dottie was in for her suture removal last week but half of her wound opened back up. She also now has something wrong with her eye. Our doctor put her on oral and eye meds, and we will recheck her in one week. This is the stray that was found with her arm embedded and stuck through her collar.

PLEASE REMEMBER MISTER IN YOUR PRAYERS

11/8/23 – It was late September, 2023 when we were contacted about a very friendly cat rescued during a ‘hoarding project’. His finder thought he had been a pet a one time, was either abandoned or lost, and ended up in the hoarding situation. He seemed to have an issue with his leg and was very malnourished. Over the past weeks, Mister has been seen a number of times at one of our partner vets but his diagnosis is still unsure. His leg appeared to have been injured at one time but had healed. Mister’s health has been up and down since being rescued and he has been running a low grade fever. At times he’s lethargic and then back to normal and at times he limps. Mister has been on a couple of different antibiotics and the doctor still can’t rule out FIP. He will be having blood work again in a couple of weeks and we will continue to be there for Mister. – diana
