8/3/25: Proof that animals have feelings. These brothers have shut down and are withdrawn. The owner surrendered his cats yesterday and they are with a temporary foster, so that they were not euthanized or dumped. Bennett and Beaux are brothers who are 1.5 years old and have lived together since babies. The owner is moving and did not want to take them.
He tried throwing them outside but they would not leave the porch. He brought them to the vet on Thursday and fortunately the vet refused to euthanize 2 healthy young cats.
They have had zero medical care and will need exams, vaccines, fecals, neutering, and bloodwork. I reached out to a couple of our passionate board members for a solution and they immediately got in the car to go get these 2 cats out of the home.
This morning Beaux and Bennett were completely withdrawn, won’t leave the litter box, the black one pulled all of the blankets into the cage overnight and the other will not even lift his head or open his eyes. We don’t know all of the details leading to this decision and I prefer NO NEGATIVE comments or judgment because right now all that matters is finding someone to give them a chance at a better life. At least the owner was willing to give them up.
4 Paws 1 Heart will be paying for ALL medical needed to get them current and assure they’re healthy. Please donate and please share. They are located in St. Clair Shores. Email contact is Aimee.4paws1heart@gmail.com
They need placement, foster, or a rescue group.
