Jefferson’s Second Chance at a Healthy Life

10/11/26 Update: 4 Paws 1 Heart has covered all of her medical care to date, including her tail amputation, spay, and basic veterinary care. Before surgery, Jefferson was already struggling with her balance. We hoped that with time, healing, and a little more strength, she would improve.

Unfortunately, she is now exhibiting signs of spinal trauma, raising new concerns about her condition and her future. Her doctors have started her on medication, and she is being referred to a specialist to determine whether physical therapy can help her regain strength, coordination, and mobility.

This tiny girl has already been through so much, and we are not ready to give up on her. Please pray for Jefferson. She needs every bit of love and positive energy we can send her way.

9/28/26: Meet Jefferson. She was found in the parking lot of Depilla Dentistry alone, injured, and scared. Her tiny little body had a degloving injury to the tail and bone was exposed. She had fleas, was thin, and in need of help.

We set her up with treatment through Moore Veterinary Hospital and she received her surgery a few days ago to remove the dead tail and spay her.

Jefferson was still very tiny for surgery but it needed to be done.

Her rescuer said she is healing well and in a few weeks we will complete her vaccines.

Because of you, Jefferson was given the chance she and so many other homeless animals deserve.
