EMERGENCY HELP NEEDED for kittens in Yale, Michigan!

7/7/26 Update: Unfortunately, three from the litter died from illness and severe infection resulting in ruptured eyes.

We worked closely with the rescuer to cover initial exams, medications, testing for diseases, and just last week we sponsored the mom to get spayed.

These kittens and mom will now have a chance at a healthy happy future.

6/19/26 Update: It was a very early morning of communicating with the rescuer, and the vet hospital to get six of these kittens that survived the help they needed.

They were all examined, dewormed, and the sickest one was tested for feline leukemia and panleukepenia. The tests were negative at this time, but they will probably need to be retested again in a few months.
Unfortunately, the kitten with both ruptured eyes needed to be humanely euthanized. It was not fair to force her to suffer any longer.

The rescuer, Teal, had already begun antibiotics at home prior to getting them in for their exams. Extra meds were dispensed today so that she has enough to carry them through.

It is only because of our supporters that we are able to assist in cases like these.

6/18/26: We received an urgent plea for help for kittens rescued from horrific living conditions. A woman said she and her daughter went to a home after inquiring about a pet to adopt and when they saw the environment the kittens were living in, they took them to safety and reported the situation to authorities.

Sadly, three kittens have already died.

Much of the night was spent communicating with the rescuer and working to get these babies seen for medical care as quickly as possible.

We don’t yet know the full extent of their needs, but we know they need HELP. The veterinary costs will add up, but these innocent kittens deserve a chance.
