A Brave Step Forward for Michelin
7/1/26 Update: Toe amputation surgery was yesterday on Michelin. Thank you to the doctors and staff at Orion Animal Hospital for their skill and compassion. We will update once we know if the biopsy is cancerous.
Michelin was part of a cat colony in Detroit when the person feeding noticed he was injured and having trouble walking. He will be placed through a rescue.

6/2/2026: Michelin may look upset, but everyone is working hard to help him. He was rescued after being found with bleeding toes caused by severe ingrown nails. As his care has progressed, his veterinarian has become concerned about a possible cancerous mass.
Michelin will be undergoing toe amputation surgery and a biopsy, and we could really use your support. We are covering the cost of his procedures, and one of our favorite veterinary teams at Orion Animal Hospital is providing his care.
Please keep him in your prayers for a smooth recovery and for good news from his biopsy results.
He is currently in the loving care of For the Love of Cats Rescue, who are doing everything they can to give him the best chance at a healthy future. Hopefully, he understands that all of this is being done to help him feel better and give him many happy years ahead.
