Ponyboy’s Journey Continues
7/10/26 Update: After found on the streets, we helped sponsor his cardiologist appointment a couple weeks ago. This is the update from the rescuer:
“He has ‘hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy’, moderate to severe. He’s on three meds with a shorter life expectancy. Thank you for your help. Would not have been possible without your group. The total bill was about $800 including medication”.
Although this was not the diagnosis we hoped for, I am certain Ponyboy is in good hands and will be loved until his final days.
6/11/26: We became involved with his case about 3 months ago when his rescuer discovered he needed to be seen by a cardiologist. It has been extremely difficult to get in and he was on a wait list. The appointment is coming up and we offered to help cover the consult and echocardiogram.
That should tell the condition and give a better idea of what kind of home to place him and if he will have special needs.
