5/12/16 – Please continue to keep sweet Phoenix in your prayers. She remains traumatized from her experience in a house fire where over 50 cats were found dead. She was just one of seven who made it out alive due to the compassion and skills of the Detroit firefighters. Last night she was given the duty to give the ‘goodnight’ post. ~ diana

“Uh…hello everybody, I’m Phoenix. Chance says it would be good for me to do the nitenite post so I’m going to give it a try. I’m doing a wee bit better today making eye contact and even giving an occasional wink. I’m super sad about losing so many of my friends in the fire, and really scared when I hear any strange noises or see sudden movement. I don’t want to be picked up right now and feel safer in my cat tower for now. But my foster mom says not to worry, nothing and nobody’s going to hurt me and I can just take all the time I needs to feel better. Chance & the Gang take turns keeping me company and my foster mom and Aunt Shelly spend lots of time whispering sweet words to me and giving me gentle pets. And when I’m feeling better 4 Paws 1 Heart will be taking care of my shots and what ever I might need medically. But for now I’m just going to rest and try to look toward the future. Thankyou everybody for all your prayers, keep sending them becuse I still need them and I know they are helping me. So goodnite everybody ❤ Love Phoenix
