Bowser STILL needs a home. He is 7 years old, fixed, up to date on vaccines, a Great Dane, Friendly, Good nature, and in need of a forever home. He was going to be taken to the shelter by his owner until a kind woman stepped up to help, but she only was able to hold onto him for a temporary basis. With his size and age she has been unsuccessful finding him a forever home. She needs our help and we need your help to share, cross-post, and network him out there. Please Help BOWSER!!! Gina

Partnership with Cats Veterinary in Clinton Township
Our friends and partners at the Cats Veterinary in Clinton Township have created another way to help the animals this Holiday season. The Client purchases a kitty angel for various dollar amounts and the staff places that kitty on our charity tree with 100% of the proceeds going to the new 4 Paws 1 Heart/Cats Veterinary Fund. Thank You to our Board member, Sasha Oza, for leading the way in our new venture and thank you to the enthusiastic staff at Cats Veterinary. There will be many kitty kisses in your future. ~ diana
Thank You – MoTown Night
As we come so very close to the end of 2013, please consider a donation to 4 Paws 1 Heart. We are a 501c3 not-for-profit organization which means that your donation is tax deductible. BUT, more importantly, with your donations, we have been able to make a difference in the lives of hundreds of companion animals. Fundraisers are the only other source of funding for 4P1H, and in the case of Motown Night, the raffle prize donations were phenomenal. Again, thank you to all! ~ Diana and the Board of 4 Paws 1 Heart
Animal Warriors
ANIMAL WARRIORS – We have been receiving many requests from individual rescuers who are now seeing cats and kittens show up on their porches needing help. Our 4P1H friend, Susan, contacted us about this little guy. Here’s her message:
“A male cat, un-neutered, has been hanging out at a friend’s house since August. He’s getting fed and has shelter. But now he is hurt, holding up a front leg. He broke my heart when I saw him earlier. He is not feral, and came up to me, I’ll send you a pic. I have an older, crabby male cat, so I cannot keep him. My friend has a male cat and cannot afford to take care of this hurt boy. Can you help this baby out?” – Susan
This sweet boy was brought into the Emergency, was x-rayed, tested and neutered. His leg had no breaks or sprains but his paw had some superficial burns on it which may have caused the limp. It also turned out that he tested positive for FIV which is not a death sentence but will require some special needs. For this reason, he was not vaccinated at this time. Susan and her family will work to find this handsome feline a forever home. ~ diana

Bobby One of Three Roaming Kittens
11/14/13 – Bobby was one of three kittens roaming by themselves on the streets until a good Samaritan rescued them and brought them into the Emergency. 4 Paws 1 Heart took care of all of their medical needs because that’s what we do. Here is our Bobby with his new BFF in his loving, forever home. Isn’t he handsome and looking very loved and well taken care of? ~ Gina

Dewey with Co-Worker Nicole
Here is our Dewey with co-worker Nicole. As you can see he loves to be held and loved. His condition has not gotten worse, but Dewey might have some permanent/lingering damage do to his congenital issues. He is a little unsteady on his feet and still healing. We don’t know what to expect long term but he is an amazing little fella with a lot of love to give. I have narrowed the potential homes down to one very fitting family for Dewey based on his needs. They have no other pets and they can focus on him only for now. After all that he has been through we have paws crossed that the worst is over and he will hopefully live a long happy life with no more surprises! We’ll keep everyone informed. ~ gina
Tito Suffered Minor Burns
Tito suffered minor burns after the deadly house fire he was in last weekend. It is still unknown if Tito has any remaining family left, and I am waiting to hear from the fire chief. There is a strong possibility that Tito might need a new home is he is on his own, and we will be here to do whatever is necessary to help him find love, support, and safety. My heart just breaks for him not knowing what to expect:( ~ gina
New Partnership with Cats Veterinary
ANNOUNCEMENT: 4 Paws 1 Heart is pleased to announce our new partnership with Cats Veterinary in Clinton Township. We have established a fund to be called the 4 Paws 1 Heart/Cats Vet fund which will provide medical dollars for abandoned and stray animals. We will jointly work together to raise funds and encourage donations through the veterinary hospital — all for the good of the abandoned and abused. Please ‘like’ the facebook pages of Cats Vet, Harper Woods Veterinary, and the Animal Urgent and Critical Care Center as thanks for all that they do. Here are the first orphans who will be helped through this new fund. ~ diana
“A client of the veterinary feeds outside cats and has his whole garage dedicated as a shelter for the cats. The garage has heated cat trees, scratching posts, cat beds, etc. He noticed that one of his new ‘tenants’ was pregnant and gave birth in his garage. He was taking care of mamma and babies and planned to spay her once the kittens were weaned. Then one day he came home from work to poor mama on the side of the road, hit by a car and dead. He did not know how to take care of bottle babies so he called me. The staff gladly agreed to take over bottle feeding duty and the kittens were brought in. All of the babies are doing great and they even attended the recent People, Pets, and Vet event at Macomb Community College. They will be up for adoption soon; they are 4 weeks old now. All adoption fees will go into the 4 Paws 1 Heart/Cats Vet Medical Fund.” ~ Sasha, Board Member, 4 Paws 1 Heart
