11/5/25: He starts talking the moment you meet him ❤️ Just one week ago this 2-year-old boy was found outside. His body weathered and torn, his spirit tired…yet his eyes still full of hope. He’s incredibly friendly and talkative, desperate for affection and comfort. Despite the pain he’s endured, all he wants is to be loved.
He needs a tail amputation due to a traumatic injury, along with basic medical care to help him heal. His rescuer has been keeping him safe, but sadly can’t keep him much longer — and no owner could be found.
Now, we’re urgently looking for a foster or forever home — someone to give him the love and safety he’s been searching for. We believe his path led him to us for a reason because somewhere out there is a kind soul whose life he’s meant to change.

His name is Gizmo and he is a gray tabby located in Macomb County Michigan. -Gina
11/1/25: This is Lori and part of the message that I received requesting urgent help: “She was rescued 9/4 on the verge of death. She is the size of a 10 week old kitten but is actually almost 6 months old. She’s somewhat better now but still struggling”.
We approved Lori to be seen at one of our favorite vet hospitals, Orion Animal Hospital. To my knowledge, she has responded to treatment and I will post an update once I know more.
There are so many stray animals that are sick, in need of medical care, or vetting.
10/31/25: This little guy, “Boxer”, was found in pretty bad shape, hardly able to breathe, congested, and a high fever over 104°F.
We approved him to go to Orion Oaks Animal Hospital where they took wonderful care of him. He had a series of x rays, SQ fluids, and broad spectrum antibiotics.
In just over twenty four hours, he is resting comfortably here with his rescuer who is going to try to find him a forever home!
There are way more animals who need help than resources available.

10/29/25: This is “Chop”. He was rescued by Misfit Angels rescue after someone found him dumped. He needed emergency surgery to remove a corn cob–probably from eating garbage in order to survive. We donated $1000 to help towards his surgery and he was released from the hospital about one week ago.
I will check in with the rescue group to see how he is doing today.
10/27/2025: Last week I received an emergency email request regarding a cat outside with flesh coming from the rectal area.
We were able to get him seen at West Flint Animal Hospital very quickly and they sedated him to examine and determine his rectum was prolapsed. This can be caused from severe diarrhea or parasites. The rescuer was committed to providing continued care if we were able to treat, and we said yes. I will update as soon as I hear something but for now Fluffy is safe, warm, fed, indoors, and on the road to recovery. -Gina

9/17/25 Update: We receive constant requests for animals in need of help on a daily basis. This sweet boy, found in Aldi’s parking lot, just got through 2 months of vetting through us and at his recent neuter x-rays were taken because of a limp that they couldn’t really evaluate until he was under anesthesia. He is about 4-5 months old and so lovable.
The doctor is recommending FHO Surgery.
FHO (femoral head ostectomy) surgery is needed to relieve pain and restore function. The surgery removes the ball (femoral head) of the hip joint to eliminate painful bone-on-bone contact allowing the formation of a new “false joint” made of scar tissue that provides cushioning and pain-free mobility.
Sunfyre also needs a home. He can live a very good quality of life with surgery.
The estimated cost without discount is $1,700.

7/18/25: Here is the email I received from an independent rescuer: “I became aware of a kitten alone in the 9-Mile Aldi parking lot. A family was able to catch this poor baby but they couldn’t keep him. He had black tar matted in his fur, was absolutely covered in fleas and his ears were filthy. He was very lethargic when I got to him but I cleaned him up and its been 48 hours he seems to have improved. Eyes look good no signs of respiratory infection but he is all skin, fluff, and bones I am guessing about 12 weeks old, I am calling him Sunfyre. Any chance 4P1H can help with his vet care? He is so soft and honestly the most grateful kitten I have ever met. I can’t imagine how terrified he was with all the fireworks and being alone but he is an instant motor boat and purrs constantly. I attached some pictures.”
We offered to help and he was seen yesterday for full exam, vaccines, feline leukemia/FIV test, dewormer, and a parasite check to set him up for a healthier safe path while finding a forever home. Happy new life, Sunfyre! 💜
10/16/25 Update: Through my tears and with a very heavy heart, I am updating about Baby Fluff who passed away surrounded by her rescuers and I yesterday afternoon.
Her condition became much worse and her fragile little body could not fight her pneumonia any more. Moore veterinary hospital and Advanced Animal Emergency utilized all medical options given to provide the best care and treatment for this delicate little angel desperately trying to save her life.
She was found last week tucked beside her deceased mom who had been hit by a car on Hall Road. Her body was the size of the palm of my hand. There really isn’t much more that I can say other than rest in heaven sweet little baby and be with your mama. You were loved and I’m so sorry we couldn’t save you. 💔😪 Gina
10/14/25 Update: What a little fighter and an absolute gem! This sweet little angel girl had a glucose of 55 this morning. A fever of 102.9 f and she was extremely dehydrated upon arrival. The staff took care of her every hour on the hour throughout the entire day and I decided to take her home for the night to continue her supportive care because she needs aggressive monitoring. She is not eating enough to sustain herself so she has to be carefully syringe fed every 2-3 hours. She is on eye and oral antibiotics to treat what they suspect is pneumonia at this point. Her weight is 0.7 oz. She is not even half of a pound and extremely fragile.
I feel that she has made quite a bit of progress through the day but her breathing is still labored at times. Her energy goes in spurts, I’m hoping that if we can get her over this hump with her appetite, breathing, and fever she will be good. Her prognosis is still very guarded. She has already been through so much in her short little life starting with sitting beside her deceased mom, who was hit by a car on hall road. Please keep the prayers coming and I will do everything on my end to give her the best chance of survival! 10/13/25 Update: Baby Fluff was brought in yesterday to follow up from her emergency visit the night before and for more diagnostic tests, antibiotics, and nutritional supplement. I’ve been in communication with her rescuer throughout the day and night, and this baby still won’t eat her drink. She is going to bring her in again first thing this morning and get her hospitalized. Please keep her in your prayers. We need them right now. 🩷🙏💜 Gina
10/12/25: I received an emergency email late last night regarding this baby found 4 nights ago in Macomb Twp. She was with her deceased mom that had been hit by a car. Her health began declining quickly. That’s when her rescuer, Lindsy, rushed her to Advanced Animal Emergency and we offered to cover the medical.
They did an exam, bloodwork, treatments for the respiratory and eye infection, meds to go home, prescription, food, nebulizer treatment, and I am going to get her in hopefully today to be seen for continued testing and care.
Please share and keep Baby Fluff and her rescuer Lindsy in your prayers while we help give her a 2nd chance. It’s early to say what’s all going on because she needs x-rays, more bloodwork, leukemia FIV test, continued antibiotics, and maybe more nebulizer treatments.
I am so grateful for the doctors and staff at the emergency for all they do. They always go above and beyond with compassion and skill to provide quality care.

10/12/25: Pebbles, this little old girl, was found with a huge mass and dental disease. Island Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary posted this:
“UPDATE ON PEBBLES and a BIG thank you to 4Paws1Heart.org & Jude !!!
PEBBLES had her surgery to remove a large hanging mass on her abdomen.. Unfortunately, it was deemed to be cancer.. BUT she is healing well and can now walk normally without that HUGE thing hanging on her.. THAT mass weighed a pound!! It is gone now… She is spayed & had a full dental cleaning and 7 extractions.. So now it is time to wait for that MIRACLE.. Miracles DO happen here at ISHAS… PEBBLES does have some nodules in her lungs confirmed by X-ray and we will have her X-rayed again, should she show any signs of declining …. BUT FOR NOW.. She feels great, eats great and LOOKS awesome.. She is happy – we are happy and we are ever so grateful for 4Paws1Heart.org ‘s VERY generous donation to our Vet ..to have this totally all paid in full !!! IT does not get any better than that ! LET US ALL PRAY FOR PEBBLES MIRACLE… She deserves a happy life for however long she has..

10/8/25 UPDATE: Lucinda was examined by the doctor and dispensed antibiotics for her infection along with an oral nutritional supplement for her malnourished tiny body. She is located in Roseville and the rescuer is looking for placement once she is stronger.
10/6/25: This poor little tiny soul was found on the side of the road, eyes sealed shut, skin and bones, and helpless. Sara didn’t turn her back and gently transported Lucinda to safety. She contacted us for urgent help and in the meantime has been giving her formula, cleaning her eyes, and providing a safe warm environment.
We have approved Lucinda to be examined to get him the medical help he needs. Please keep her in your prayers. I will post an update on our page as soon as I know more about how he is doing.
