BRANDY – Owner is Moving Where Brandy is Not Welcome
8/8/14 – URGENT Home Needed or Pet will be taken to the shelter before the end of the day. Brandy is a 5 year old Visla/Lab Mix, spayed but vaccines are not up to date. Her owner is moving in with someone who does not allow dogs in her home. They plan to take her to the shelter today. If you can provide a permanent home or foster, contact our friend Jo Addington who is desperately trying to save this very lovable dog who loves to play with her toys. 586-823-1055 — diana

Family is Evicted From Home Leaving Najee and 4 Cat Siblings Homeless.
8/8/14 – Another innocent animal who will be taken to the shelter if a rescue, foster, or adopter does not step up. This is Najee. His owners have been evicted and this is their last day. He is neutered, 4-5 years old, very protective of his toys, and said to love cats. UPDATE 8/11/14 – Najee is safe and through the power of social media has found someone interested in giving him a forever home. He is staying with his rescuer, Jo A. until Thursday, August 14, when he is to be picked up by his adopter. ~ diana
Everywhere You Look, There Are Kittens!
8/7/14 – Is it us or are there just more kittens this year??? – 4p1h received a call from someone who had rescued a semi feral mom and 4 kittens. The person needed medical dollars to get everyone fixed (when ready), vaccinated, and tested. Of course, we couldn’t say no and 4p1h paid for everyone to be vetted, tested, vaccinated, and fixed. The adoption fees went to the rescue organization who allowed the rescuer to use their adoption event. Again, thank you to our supporters who attend our fundraisers and who continue to donate to our mission. Here’s hoping these sweethearts spend the next 20+ years loved and cared for. ~ diana
German Shepherd Puppy Beats Parvo
8/7/14 – We recently treated this (German Shepherd) puppy for Parvo Virus. He is getting better, but still will need meds continued. He is about 8 weeks old, 7#, and quite the handful!!! BUT ADORABLE! If you are serious and can help foster for us please let us know. Please give me time to respond as the emails will come swarming in for a cute little puppy like this. Email at gina.4paws1heart@gmail.com (because he had parvo he can not go into a home where there are unvaccinated puppies). Even though treated he can shed the virus for several months or longer in his feces. He also has Roundworm for which he is being treated. He needs work with biting and pottie training. Like I said he is a handful….not just a cute puppy:) He is a big commitment! ~ gina

Hopefully she will be pin free in a week or so although you would never know she even has one in-it’s hard to keep a good kitten down “

ARCHIE – Found With a Seatbelt Wrapped Around His Neck – Now Adopted
7/22/14 – Archie has been adopted and is now Cooper. If you’ll remember, near death, Archie was found on a lawn with a seatbelt wrapped around his neck. He was emaciated and found to have Parvo. After the skilled care of the Animal Urgent and Critical Care Center staff, Archie made it and here he is in his new home ready to start a new life. YEAH!!! ~ diana
HALO (With A Rejoyceful Animal Rescue) – Update
7/27/14 – We are nothing without our rescue friends. Together we can change the world. Little Halo is a shining example. Thank You to A Rejoyceful Animal Rescue for taking her in, we were thankful to play a role in her recovery along with the many individuals who donated for her medical bills.. “A good Samaritan found Halo sitting in the middle of the road terrified as she was completely blind due to a severe Upper respiratory infection. She is a wee little thing. She weighed in at less than a pound and is believed to only be about 6 weeks old. Halo has a severe upper respiratory infection as well as pneumonia. She is extremely emaciated, very dehydrated and very very weak. She cannot see out of her eyes and she cannot breathe out of her nose to smell. Her only senses right now are her hearing. Her respiratory infection was left un-treated and as a result she could potentially lose sight in both of her eyes. We will do everything we can to try and save her eyes.
