WINNIE, SARA AND MARY WERE THREE OF 45 CATS

7/17/23 – Rescued from a hoarding situation. Fortunately, the owner of the home had taken good care of the cats (although not spay/neuter) so significant medical wasn’t needed. An independent rescuer involved in the rescue was able to help with 15 cats and was down to these three when we were asked to help. They were taken to our good friends at The Paws Clinic and are with fosters who will try to find their furever homes. – diana

MIDGE AND ODIN ARE TWO OF 8 KITTENS FOUND ON THE STREETS

7/17/23 – Although most of them had diarrhea, Midge and Odin appeared to be in worse shape and not gaining weight. Macomb County Animal Control helped with 6 kittens and took them in and we agreed to help with Midge and Odin. They were taken to Orion Animal Hospital where they were both treated for severe diarrhea. Midge had to return to the hospital to be treated with antibiotics. Their rescuer was in close contact with me and Midge and Odin appear to now be doing well. – diana

RIP NOSY

7/17/23 – She was rescued from the streets with a prolapsed rectum. The finder was able to get a sponsor to cover treatment at an emergency hospital because she couldn’t get into any other vet clinics. Nosy had surgery last Thursday and was scheduled to have her stitches removed this past Saturday. We offered to pay for the follow up visit which would require sedation, a follow up exam, and the stitches removal. Unfortunately, during the procedure the rectum prolapsed again and Nosy didn’t survive. Nosy’s rescuer tried so hard and I pray she can find some comfort in knowing that Nosy at least knew love which would have never happened had she been allowed to die on the streets. I wish we would save them all but there’s times when God has other plans. – diana

TIGER AND HIS MOM AND SIBLINGS WILL NEED HOMES

7/15/23 – Tiger and his mom and siblings were discovered by the family dog. Fortunately, everyone was able to be captured and taken to a veterinary to be examined, spayed/neutered, and vaccinated (although too young for rabies and snap test). Everyone but one, Tiger, appeared to be in good condition. The doctor advised that Tiger had a hernia which needed surgery. The family contacted me and Tiger will be seen by one of the great doctors at Orion Animal Hospital on Monday, July 17. Prayers for this very sweet little guy who will be looking for his furever home (along with his siblings). – diana

MIRZAPAN PROGRESS

It’s hard to feed and video but I wanted to show the progress, and I’m very haply with these results. He’s definitely got the will to live. Gina

Day #2 We are eating, eyes are opening, sitting up, horrible diarrhea is better, and this is all progress! Mirzapan (Marzipan in a previous post) is on his way to a new journey where he will have life.

Thank you 4 Paws 1 Heart for covering his continued medical care and the staff at Moore Veterinary for helping him survive.

Tomorrow we will do 1 more day of I V Fluids and I suspect Mirzapan will hold his own until we need to see him for his kitten boosters.

Little tough guy who is surrounded by love and care from his rescuers, Aimee M Martin Lincoln and Andrea Dow .

PRAYERS FOR MARZIPAN

Need your prayers for this baby.. Gina

Meet “Marzipan”

Last night a village of amazing rescuers with Aimee M Martin Lincoln , Andrea Dow came together to help this little guy after finding him in awful condition outside. He was taken for Emergency care at Advanced Animal ER where they worked hard to stabilize him. Then, I offered to cover his continued care under “4 Paws 1 Heart” if he could be transported to Moore Veterinary Hospital this morning.

We worked on him all throughout the day and he is making babysteps of progress, but he is still VERY sick. Please keep prayers going. He needs them! Thank you Dr Shivani Gupta , Shelby Woodward Mazur , Tracey Poole , Laura Coffie , Brenda Girard ,and Maria Cristina Rivera Henriquez for your help today!

Donations towards his medical can be made to:

MEADOWBROOKE NEEDS A HOME

7/13/23 – We are very thankful for everything Dr Zalac and her staff at Orion Animal Hospital does for the animals we assist. In return, when they get an orphan into their hospital and need our help, we are there!! Meet Meadowbrooke (aka Meadow). – diana

Welcome aboard, Camp Chisholm. Just when I needed a break, this lil guy needed some help. So Stephanie Skrinner and I came to the rescue, because we are suckers like that! Meadowbrooke will be up for adoption after his medical care is completed. If anyone is looking for an extremely sweet and mellow kitten, Meadow is your guy! Thank you to 4Paws1Heart for funding the medical for our sweet little man! – Courtney

CHICO

7/13/23 – At the end of June I received the following e mail:

“Hey there! So what happened was………

Pulled up for gas in Warren. This filthy and terrified staff pup comes from across the service drive and right at me. I couldn’t judge his size at 5:45 a.m. from that distance so I open my door to find refuge inside my vehicle. Before I can get in the pup had sprinted In catapults into my back seat. Based on his agility, speed, and the look of desperation in his eyes (one I have seen so many times in this breed’s eyes) I would have fought my grandmother to make sure the pup was OK.

He is ok and within hours, as is true to his breed and most rescues, he became attached to my hip. He is an amazing gentle and extremely intelligent dog. 6-7 months old, but an old soul. Anyone who gets it, gets it. He has already bonded to me, and even after he went through God knows what. So All About Animals told me to contact you guys. Thank you, Robbie”

We were thankful to be able to help Chico with his immediate visit to All About Animals for his vaccinations and anything else they could do at the time. We also authorized the heart worm test and neuter as appropriate. His rescuer will be checking back in with us to give an update. Without Robbie’s rescue, All About Animals and their advice and availability, and, most importantly, our supporters, Chico’s life would have been so very different. – diana
