12/27/14 – Remember Soup? Found on a lawn with his head trapped in a soup can. He had been attacked while he was trapped and had his pelvis broken. He is very sweet, loves Gina’s dogs, but needs his own forever family — it’s been a year! If you are interested in giving this sweet boy lots of love and shelter, please contact Gina at gina.4paws1heart@gmail.com. ~ diana

Hope – Multiple Breaks and Pregnant – Now a Second Chance at Life
12/26/14 – On this day after Christmas, we continue to feel blessed that because of our generous supporters, we are able to help our rescue friends when they have difficult cases Hope is one of those. A Rejoyceful Animal Rescue answered a call for help. This beautiful female was lying on the front lawn of a home in Detroit; she kept trying to get up but couldn’t. Upon arriving at Wilson Veterinary, she was found to be pregnant, have multiple breaks in her pelvis and leg, potential damage to her organs, and the skin on one side of her leg was scraped off by having been dragged. It became clear early on that none of the babies she was carrying could be saved and she remained in critical condition. It is now a few days later and, thankfully, she is improving. Please follow Hope’s progress on the A Rejoyceful Animal Rescue facebook page. ~ diana

Bottle Babies – Noel, Kringle, Jingle and Little Rudolph
12/25/14 – These sweet days-old babies, Noel, Kringle, Jingle, and poor little Rudolph are in the nursery trying to get warm enough to eat. Rudolph is struggling already, although he is a fighter. These babies, needing to be bottle fed, were taken in by our good friend, Amanda Morris, from Advanced Animal Emergency, Clinton Township, MI. We will be looking for forever homes when these babies are old enough. In the mean time, please say some Christmas prayers, especially for little Rudolph. This is a very critical stage for baby kittens.
Christmas Wishes From Dino (aka Sonic)
More Christmas Wishes from Those We’ve Helped – Bandit
12/24/14 – We received a message from a 4p1h friend about two kittens, once again, thrown out in a field in a rural area of Macomb County, Michigan. The rescuer was able to find a home for one and decided to keep the other if we could help with vetting, vaccinating, and neutering. Of course we did!! Meet Bandit.
Old Friends Helped by 4 Paws 1 Heart – Sammi
12/24/14 – More Christmas Happiness from our friend and Sammi’s mom, Dori Bingham. Sammi was brought into the emergency in September, 2011. Eight-week old Sammi was dying of parvo and had a broken neck; the owner brought her in to be euthanized. Instead, the staff talked the owner into surrendering her to 4 Paws 1 Heart. After intensive medical treatment and a lot of love and attention from our Gina, Sammi survived and was adopted to a phenomenal family who continues to be friends and active supporters of 4 Paws 1 Heart. Here is what Sammi looked like when she was brought in and what she looks like today after 3+ years of love and affection. ~ diana
