8/1/16 – Happy August 1. Actually, I’m not too happy because it just means we are getting closer to the end of summer. Although, it is Monday and our last month of true summer, I wanted to start your day with a happy update. You might remember Lacy. It was this past April when Lacy and her new born puppies were found in a vacant rental unit. Thankfully, the agent of the management company talked with her co-workers and mama and her babies were all taken in. The puppies all found their way into a forever homes, but mama Lacy was found to be heart worm positive. That is when we received a call for help. We agreed to pay for Lacy’s heart worm treatment and today I am happy to report that Lacy is heart worm free and doing well. The only problem is that she needs a forever home. She is currently living at the Management’s headquarters and although she gets lots of attention during the day, she is without human companionship at night and on weekends. Her foster mom says she is a great girl and would love to be a part of someone’s family.
