Rusty Was Abandoned/Thrown Out And Now He Needs Our Help

7/15/25: This guy was found in an area where there are lots of strays who are abandoned and dumped on a regular basis. He tries to eat, growls, drools, and sticks tongue out sometimes. His rescuer took him in for neutering but due to the severity of his dental disease, they could not help in a low-cost clinic. He is also FIV positive – very similar story to Garrick who we recently helped. There is a possibility Rusty will need several extractions and this is approximately $800 – $1,200. We would love to help provide funding help for Rusty so that he can have no more pain and a better chance at a forever home. He is very loving and calm.

Homeless, Super Friendly Cat Named Lucy

7/15/25: This adorable girl was found in a nearby neighborhood. She was posted on lost and found pages but no one claimed her. She had no identification and appeared in good condition. We offered to get her spayed so that she didn’t keep producing kittens or risk complications from being in heat. The person who found Lucy has gotten attached and is considering giving her a forever home. Here she is recovering from her surgery with no issues. One more happy ending for a homeless kitty!

Mochie’s Complications From Giving Birth

7/11/25: Last week, this mama kitty gave birth to 3 kittens and then she began continuously contracting, showing signs of distress panting and irritability. This happened on and off for a couple days.We weren’t sure what to do because this was a possible emergency C-section and we just cannot afford that at this time. We authorized her to take the mom cat to one of the best hospitals we work with, Orion Animal Hospital. We thought there were going to be babies left inside but instead, she had a major infection and her temperature of over 106 degrees Farenheit! Her uterus was full of infection and discharge was pouring out of her vulva which is diagnosed as an open Pyometria. We opted to do medications, monitoring, and supportive care. Today, Mochie is doing great and when she is done nursing we will be there to cover her spay surgery. Yesterday her rescuer thanked us for helping save her life. <3

This Boy Was Found With A Fractured Leg

7/11/25: We were contacted about this boy who was found limping on his rear leg. It took a few weeks for them to be able to catch him but he was able to be examined and get x-rays yesterday. The hospital staff said he was very friendly and that his fracture was already healing. The main thing we were concerned about was keeping him comfortable right now. Pain management and antibiotics were provided by the doctor and the rescuer will see how he does.

Welcome to your new journey <3 As always, if anyone is interested, I can put you in contact with this the rescuer for more information.

Lovee, Spayed, Urgently Needs A Home

7/10/25: Lovee had her last round of shots yesterday so now she is up to date on everything and fixed. We are happy to have been able to give her a second chance by covering the medical care that she needed but we cannot provide placement.

Her rescue mom can not keep her inside as a foster and she needs a forever indoor home. She is just over three pounds and approximately 15 weeks old. If you are serious and interested in more information please contact Janetquantz@att.net (Saint Clair Shores area).

7/2/25: This sweet kitten was one of several born from an outside cat who was finally spayed recently. 4 Paws 1 Heart helped so that Lovee could have her spay surgery yesterday and she is fully up to date on her vaccines.

Lovee needs a home or she will live her life outdoors. If you can take her in and give her a chance she would be one less cat who can get hurt or sick living an outdoor life. Her rescuer has gone above and beyond but the strays are out of control. She can not keep all of them and while rescues and shelters are full she does what she can. Lovee is located in St Clair Shores. If you would like more information please email janetquantz@att.net. Thank you!

Red’s Road to Healing

7/9/25: Red’s eyes were so swollen it was hard to do an exam and check for ulcers. He was started on an anti-inflammatory eye medicine, oral antibiotics and he was tested for feline leukemia and FIV. He was negative which is good but this eye condition could be from a virus. His rescuer, Nikki and her husband, have opened their hearts and home to give Red a chance to heal. We will re-check his eyes once some inflammation has gone down. Thank you Moore Veterinary Hospital for squeezing this baby into a packed schedule so that he could get help he needed.

George The Stray: A Happy Ending!

7/5/25: This is George. He is/was* a stray cat who was coming around to be fed and suddenly he was crying, not eating much, and not himself. We authorized George to be seen at Moore Veterinary Hospital and he was diagnosed with an infection/abscess under his arm. He was given an antibiotic injection and in a couple of weeks he will get a rabies vaccine. George deserves to live in a forever home. He’s a very sweet boy that looks like he belonged to somebody at some point. It’s just so sad. How many homeless animals exist.

*George’s caretaker realized how much he LOVED George and took him into his home! Happy endings!
