Little Bruce Is At the Hospital

12/5/24 – Little Bruce is at the hospital awaiting to see the surgeon this morning for a plan of action. We will find out if he is too young or healthy enough for a major eye removal surgery. This is a costly surgery so if anyone can help by making a donation we would really appreciate it. His surgery alone would be around $700, and he will need all of the regular vetting (vaccines, neuter, preventative, deworming, etc) plus basic care.

Please keep him in your prayers today. I’ll update soon – Gina https://4paws1heart.org/donations/

Bruce Showed Up Two Nights Ago

12/4/24 – This little guy who they are calling “Bruce”, showed up at a home 2 nights ago along with a neighborhood stray. We were contacted for help because of the injury to the eye, and arrangements were made to have this little kitten examined. I will update once I know more, but for now he is safe and will be seen by a veterinarian this afternoon. https://4paws1heart.org/donations/ Gina

Bruce came to someone’s door …

11/21/24 -Bruce came to someone’s door, very underweight and with his rear left leg partially cut off and bleeding at the hock. It’s unknown who or what did that to him; the photo is too graphic to post. Streethearts Animal Rescue got the call and rushed him to OVRS where they treated him overnight then then he was transferred to another clinic for complete amputation. Unfortunately, during the medical process, Bruce was found to be heart worm positive. Streethearts asked if we could cover his heart worm treatment and we said ‘yes’.

Bruce is estimated to be about 5 years old and everyone who has met him, loves him. Once recovered he will be looking for his furever home but for now he is being fostered by the veterinary technician who assisted at OVRS when Bruce was first brought in.

He will be starting his heart worm injections December 19, 2024. We continue to thank our donors who make all of this possible.
