Lucy: Rescued From Dumpster at Henry Ford Macomb

9/1/25: I will never understand the act of animal cruelty. This little girl named “Lucy” was thrown in a dumpster. This was an intentional act of abuse and all I know is that she is safe.

She was seen by a vet last week testing positive for fleas, worms, crusty nose, mucous in eyes, and a sore on her neck.

The next visit, we will help with getting her vaccinations started. She will understand that not all humans are bad. We are thankful for the good Samaritans and rescuers out there who truly help make a difference.

Homeless, Super Friendly Cat Named Lucy

7/15/25: This adorable girl was found in a nearby neighborhood. She was posted on lost and found pages but no one claimed her. She had no identification and appeared in good condition. We offered to get her spayed so that she didn’t keep producing kittens or risk complications from being in heat. The person who found Lucy has gotten attached and is considering giving her a forever home. Here she is recovering from her surgery with no issues. One more happy ending for a homeless kitty!

Meet Lucy and Ricky

10/31/24 – Meet Lucy and Ricky. They are a bonded pair of 5 week-old kittens found abandoned on the road, likely orphaned after their mother was hit by a car. They had obvious worms, diarrhea, and, as you can see, eye issues. We were contacted earlier in the month and are being seen today at Orion Animal Hospital.
