Amanda Morris (awesome technician and bottle baby PRO), took Elsa home and cared for her around the clock for weeks until she was eating on her own and ready to go. Today she was officially adopted into a home with a wee bit older kitten whom she is already bonded with  Another happy ending! Thank you so much Amanda for your help!!!” ~ Gina

CANNOLI – Walking the 5K Walk/Run Fur Fun

7/30/14 – THANK YOU!!! Just wanted to thank the 101 friends who attended our fundraiser last night at Captain Jack’s Bar and Grill. The appetizers were great and the view was spectacular. A beautiful evening to sit around the fire pit with friends knowing that many abandoned and abused will be given a second chance in life — just like our little Cannoli who was surrendered to 4 Paws 1 Heart in 2011 and now is healthy and loved enough to have joined us for our 5K Walk.   ~ dianacannoliatthe4p1h5k7:19:14 Cannoli -edited 2011

CHARLOTTE – The TV Star ~ diana

7/29/14 – This sweet 6-week old girl will be making her TV debut on Thursday, in the St. Clair Shores Local Matters – Nautical Tails segment. Charlotte was brought into the emergency by a good samaritan; she was just days old. She is happy and healthy and was looking for her forever home.   Fortunately, a wonderful home was found for her the night before her TV debut. ~ dianaCharlotte6wksold7-7:29:14 charlotte7:29:14 charlotte7:31:14

TOTALLY BLIND – ALONE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET

7/27/14 – We are nothing without our rescue friends. Together we can change the world. Little Halo is a shining example. Thank You to A Rejoyceful Animal Rescue for taking her in, we were thankful to play a role in her recovery along with the many individuals who donated for her medical bills.. Here is Halo’s story and her video from our friends at A Rejoyceful Animal Rescue.. ~ diana

“A good Samaritan found Halo sitting in the middle of the road terrified as she was completely blind due to a severe Upper respiratory infection. She is a wee little thing. She weighed in at less than a pound and is believed to only be about 6 weeks old. Halo has a severe upper respiratory infection as well as pneumonia. She is extremely emaciated, very dehydrated and very very weak. She cannot see out of her eyes and she cannot breathe out of her nose to smell. Her only senses right now are her hearing. Her respiratory infection was left un-treated and as a result she could potentially lose sight in both of her eyes. We will do everything we can to try and save her eyes. We need all the help we can get right now! Please send many prayers and positive vibes her way for a quick recovery. She has a long road ahead.” www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCIyeCk7CFw#t=34

FELINES R’ US

7/27/14 – Since July 1, 2014, 4 Paws 1 Heart has funded the vetting, vaccinating, and, in some cases, spaying and neutering of over 30 cats and kittens. Just one bill alone for one veterinarian was $1550. These were kittens/cats who were abandoned, thrown out, or in some cases feral. These cats/kittens were rescued from St. Clair Shores to Dowriver to Mt. Pleasant. Once again, we have significant bills coming in but we are thankful for all of our friends who continue to donate and attend our fundraisers. Here are a few of the 30. ~ diana7-27-14cats:kittens 7:27:14--cats:kittens 7:27:14cats:kittens 7:27:14kittens

KELO – HOURS AWAY FROM BEING EUTHANIZED

7/25/14 – More Prayers Needed: We were contacted byCheri, a volunteer at a local shelter. Two dogs with Parvo were going to be euthanized at Taylor Animal Control and she could not stand to see them not be given a chance. With the help of a rescue, both dogs were pulled from the shelter and Cheri took on the total responsibility for their care. This is Kelo who is now fighting for his life. 4 Paws 1 Heart is helping with Kelo’s medical bills and praying that he can beat this horrible virus. Thank you Cheri for trying to help these sweethearts who deserve better.~ diana

America – She Left Us Too Soon

7/24/14 america7-24-14 america*7:24:14– All of you will remember America. She was found in the middle of the road by a good Samaritan who brought her in to us. She was emaciated and suffering from a severe skin condition which would require a minimum of 30 days of treatment. Our friends at The Devoted Barn agreed to take her into their wonderful program while we took care of her medical needs. Look at this sweetheart today.

7/25/14 – America needs as many prayers as possible. She tested strong positive for Parvo Virus tonight, and we immediately hospitalized her. 4 paws 1 heart is taking care of her medical bills and with Parvo they add up quick. The doctors and staff are doing everything possible to help her through this, but Parvo is a nasty virus. It’s up to her body to fight this off while we help prevent secondary infections and replace what she’s losing.. We will keep you updated. I will be heart broken if we can’t pull her through this!  gina

7/25/14 – Gina and I are devastated to report to all of our friends that America passed away tonight. She fought so hard and been through so much for just a puppy. We know that she will no longer suffer but we had hoped we could have given her a second chance in life. RIP sweet America! ~diana
