Donating to 4 Paws 1 Heart Means Saving Animals Who Would Otherwise Die

3/18/15 – I hate to beg but we cannot continue to help the many animals who come to us needing our help without the financial support of our friends. If you have a dollar or two to spare, please consider donating to 4 Paws 1 Heart. It is only with your help that we can continue to save those who rely on us. Donations can be made by clicking the donation link on this page, by mail at P.O. The Love of An Animal Will Be Yours Forever – Bella

3/15/15 – Dear Friends, It is truly up to us to advocate for the voiceless. I share our friend, Tonya’s, heartfelt message not to make you sad but for you to have further proof of the importance of animals in our lives. They give us love, they give us purpose, and in our last hours give us comfort. ~ diana

That resident passed away today. Bella stayed with her all day. When Lillian passed away today Bella laid on her hand to say goodbye. I usually contact you when I’m in need, so I thought I would share a sad but extremely sweet story. Bella was an abused starving stray when I got her and brought her to our facility!! ~ Tonya”

Happy Days for Doc

“This is Doc. We brought him to you lovely gals due to an abscess on his tail. He lost his tail but he came back to us as a foster. He fell in kitty love with one of our other cats. Then he fell in love with my daughter, Emily. They are now 2 peas in a pod. She is 2 and he lets her maul hum, hug him and most importantly live him. Goofy kitty boy”!

Kimmie – She was found blind, wandering along a main highway in Macomb County

3/14/15 – Good Saturday Morning. I wanted to start your day with a happy story and once again thank God for all of the wonderful, caring people who have become our friends. On March 1 I received the following e-mail from Alicia :

“Hello,
First and foremost, I want to thank you guys for all you do. You guys are angels to all the four lagged babies. I also know you all are extremely busy but I was wondering if you guys could help me out. I was driving down M-59 (which is a main road) when I noticed a very small dog wandering. I pulled over to pick her up, so she wouldn’t get hit. I brought her in and then noticed she was running into just about everything. Her eyes are really red and puffy. I think she might be blind, maybe she was let go on purpose because I don’t think she would have run away. The vision seems bad but unfortunately I can’t keep her. And I would hate to see her go into a shelter. She seems like a sweet loving baby, that is in need of some medical attention. She is a very small breed just not sure what kind. I would really appreciate some help and if not, could you lead me in the right path. I would really like to see this little angel all better and even with a loving family. She is cute and sweet. Thank you so much and it will be great to hear from you. Let’s help this baby together if possible. God bless you have a wonderful day.”

I contacted our good friends at NBS Animal Rescue who, thankfully, agreed to jump in. We agreed that the best action would be to have this sweet girl examined by our favorite eye doctor, Dr. Easton at the Veterinary Vision of Rochester complements of 4 Paws 1 Heart. This was done and it was determined that this sweetheart is totally blind. Here she is as she was found and now since she has been with NBS Animal Rescue. Please follow her story and if you are interested in giving her a loving home, please submit an adoption application with NBS Animal Rescue. ~ diana
