9/7/15 – Chance was rescued about six months ago from a high-kill shelter in Michigan. A volunteer at the shelter was able to pull him and have him neutered and vaccinated. Just a few days after being pulled from the shelter, Chance’s back legs became paralyzed. The rescuer posted a call for help and our great friend, Denise Najera, saw the posting and asked us if we could back her if she took Chance into her home. We said ‘yes’ and Chance’s new journey began. He’s been regularly seeing Dr. Kern ofPawsitive Steps Rehabilitation & Therapy for Pets for months receiving many forms of therapy and though he was making great progress, his leg muscles were just not strong enough and that is when it was decided to get him this cart. Since, he has been making great strides and was actually in his cart for 40 minutes the other day. Chance is a true inspiration. He is such a fighter; you can’t help but love him. Follow his journey on his own fb page A Second Chance For Chance. He has friends from all over the world. ~ Auntie Di
