2/16/18 – Dakota (on the left) found himself at a local municipal shelter, heart worm positive. As I’ve said many times, municipal shelters are not funded to care for animal’s medical needs, especially something as serious as heart worm. Consequently, Dakota was scheduled to be euthanized. But, before that happened, 313 K9 and Kitty Rescue contacted us to see if we could cover Dakota’s heart worm treatment. If yes, they could pull Dakota. And, because of the generosity of our supporters,the answer was ‘yes’. Dakota started his treatment yesterday. Let’s pray his treatment goes well and he goes on to living a healthy, loved life. ~ diana
