Help Leela See a Brighter Future

3/20/26 Update: We’re so happy to share that Leela has had her eye surgery and is doing well! For those who may not remember her story—this sweet baby was found outside, injured, and in need of eye removal surgery. At the time, she was just too tiny, and the risk was simply too great. So we waited, giving her the time she needed to grow stronger.

A huge thank you to Orion Animal Hospital—the doctors and staff did an absolutely amazing job, and we are so thankful for the care they gave Leela.

11/4/25: Meet LeeLa, a brave little kitten rescued from the streets with a severe eye injury. Despite everything he’s been through, he trusts in his rescuers kindness and gentle touch.

Our nonprofit stepped in to give him the care he deserves, but LeeLa needs surgery to remove his damaged eye so he can live pain-free and finally start his new life in a loving home. We’re a small organization doing everything we can to help animals like LeeLa — but with donations running low, we can’t do it alone.

🐾 You can be the reason LeeLa gets his chance at a healthy, happy life.

Every dollar goes directly toward his surgery, recovery, and the next stray waiting for help. Donate today or share this post to spread the word.

Together, we can make sure LeeLa — and so many others like him — never have to suffer again. -Gina

Trigger’s Little Soul Finds Help

3/15/26: Two weeks ago this little pup, “Trigger”, was found in Hamtramck–homeless, tired, hungry, and scared. The family reported her but no one has come forward. They asked if we could help get the basic veterinary care and we said yes. Trigger will be going in for an exam, vax, heartworm test, parasite check, and a spay.

Morris: The Ultimate Snuggle Cat!

3/11/26: We helped Morris get on the path to good health after he was found outside and needed medical care. Thanks to that help, he’s doing great now! But his rescuer is unable to keep him long term, so we are hoping someone will step forward to give this sweet boy the loving home he deserves.

His rescuer describes Morris as very friendly and great with both people and other cats. He loves affection, enjoys laying on your chest, giving gentle head butts, and even handing out sweet little kisses.

Morris clearly loves being close to his people and is ready to be someone’s loyal companion.

If you’re interested in giving Morris a home, please contact:

Thank you!

A Gentle Soul Named Reggie

3/9/26: Sometimes the most special souls come from the hardest places.

Saint Reggie was found in Highland Park wandering the streets bloody, scared, wounded, and freezing cold. People in the neighborhood were frightened of him and asked if someone could please remove him from the block. But when his rescuer looked at him, something was clear right away. This dog was terrified, not dangerous.

Instead of walking away, his rescuer gently scooped him up, placed him safely in the truck, and got him out of the cold.

That night they stayed at the Red Roof Inn, giving Reggie the first real sense of safety he may have ever known. It didn’t take long to realize that despite everything he had been through, Reggie has the kindest heart.

Based on his condition, it appears Reggie may have come from a backyard breeder situation and likely experienced neglect early in life. He arrived unkempt, extremely dirty, and not house trained, clear signs that his past was not an easy one. But that past did not define his spirit.

Today, Reggie is safe, loved, and finally learning what it means to be cared for.

4 Paws 1 Heart has offered to cover the cost of Reggie’s neuter surgery and any needed vaccines, so he can continue on his path to a healthier future.

A Little Heart Worth Fighting For

3/6/26: Mochi Needs Your Help! This sweet little guy was found as a stray, and during his exam a heart condition was discovered. Now Mochi needs to see a cardiologist to determine exactly what is going on.

We have offered to cover the cost of his cardiology consult and echocardiogram typically $600–$800, so he can get the answers he needs and the best chance at a healthy future.

Unfortunately, most cardiologists are booked several months out, but we’re hoping to hear back today and get him on a cancellation list.

Until we know more, it has been difficult for the rescuer to place Mochi into a forever home without knowing what kind of long-term care he may require.

For now, we wait and hope for answers. Please keep Mochi in your thoughts and prayers.

3/2/26: Kai has been surviving outside in the Grosse Pointe area for months. She disappeared for a while and came back pregnant — and now she’s suffering from an eye injury.

She’s wearing a collar, but no one has stepped forward to help her. A kind Good Samaritan reached out, and we said yes to getting her the medical care she needs.

Because of you, we’re able to step in when they have no one else.

A Late-Night Plea for Bubba and a Life-Saving Yes

2/24/26: Just before Valentine’s Day, I received a late-night message about a cat found outside in heartbreaking condition — discharge from his eye and a traumatic wound to his rear leg with damage to the bone that could not be saved.

His name is Bubba.

He needed emergency amputation surgery to survive. He tested FIV positive but the doctor felt he had a chance at a good quality of life with treatment, so we approved $2,000 to help save him..

“Bubba” is now safe with a rescue and recovering.

I reached out for an update and can’t wait to share how he’s doing.

We approved her to be taken to Comfort Place Animal Hospital where she was diagnosed with a large abdominal hernia. Surgery was necessary — and they got her in right away.🙏

Today, she’s recovering, safe, loved, on a new path and a rescue group stepped up to find permanent placement.

Because of the good samaritan, the vet, the rescue, and your support in our mission, Luna was given hope.
