This homeless guy was found injured with severe trauma to his rear leg. We approved his surgery and the amazing team of professionals at Orion Animal Hospital will be providing the necessary care.
Thank you to his rescuer Jamie who cared enough to find him help and our amazing supporters who believe in our mission.
4/14/26: Baby was found in a trailer park in heartbreaking condition. She had green discharge from her vulva, wheezing from an upper respiratory infection, pregnant, anemic and bleeding from her face.
The kind person who found her rushed her to Advanced Animal Emergency, where she received an exam, X-rays, and treatments.
We stepped in to cover the cost of her care so the financial burden wouldn’t stand in the way of giving Baby a chance at a healthier, happier life.
She is now safe with a rescue, where she can continue healing and finally know what it feels like to be cared for.
There are so many cats just like Baby who need help. Please consider donating today so we can continue making a difference—four paws at a time.
4/13/26: We received an email over the weekend about this stray male cat who was found with severely ingrown nails that have grown into his paw pads, causing bleeding and significant pain. We have approved him to be seen at Orion Animal Hospital so he can receive the urgent medical care he needs.
We will share updates on “Michelin” as soon as we learn more about his condition.
4/8/26: Danni was found homeless, and her rescuer reached out to us for help.
Since then, she’s been struggling to breathe and has already been seen at more than one hospital and tried different antibiotics without much improvement.
She’ll be heading to a third hospital for a procedure called a nasal flush, and we’re really hoping it finally gives us some answers and, most importantly, some relief for her.
Please keep Danni in your thoughts and prayers ❤️Gina
4/1/26 Update: Maddie was found on the streets, heavily pregnant, and gave birth to 3 babies the very next day.
This little family received medical care yesterday—full exams, treatment for a mild respiratory infection, and deworming. After antibiotics, they’ll be rechecked and start vaccines.
Because of our supporters, we’re able to give them the healthy start they deserve.
For adoption or questions, contact Karen at misskarenmarie@gmail.com. 🐾
3/22/26: Maddie and her three babies, Pepper, Mia, and Remi, are getting the care they need because of you!
Maddie was found pregnant and safely gave birth to these three little ones shortly after rescue. Stephanie and Karen, two compassionate independent rescuers, reached out for help — and we said yes. Maddie will be spayed once her babies are weaned, and the kittens will receive vaccinations and be spayed/neutered when ready.
3/30/26 Update: Today… he’s alive, pain-free, and finally safe. After I shared his story, a veterinary technician I used to work with reached out about adopting him. I connected her with the kind man who rescued George, and now he has a loving place to call home.
A special thank you to West Flint Animal Hospital for getting him in immediately and providing the emergency surgery he needed.
This is what your support does, and I am deeply grateful.
3/8/26 Update: The wonderful news is that George is recovering beautifully and feeling so much better!
Now he just needs the final piece of his rescue story. A loving home or a rescue willing to give him a chance.
George is currently in the Flint, Michigan area. If you can help, please contact James at jamespfeiffer61@gmail.com.

2/27/26: Update: I have been communicating with the hospital. He’s in surgery right now.
2/27/26: Yesterday, we received an emergency email about a tiny kitten, George, who was found in horrific condition nearly one month ago in Flint, Michigan. The rescuer initially brought him to a veterinary clinic but because it was not a full-service hospital they were advised to transfer him to a local shelter. Fearing he could be euthanized immediately due to the severity of his condition, the rescuer urgently began reaching out for help with no success.
As soon as we were contacted, we stepped in and arranged for immediate medical care. George is currently at one of our trusted partner veterinary hospitals, West Flint Animal Hospital, where he is receiving the care he desperately needs.
We are grateful to the rescuer who refused to give up on him — and to our veterinary partners who act quickly when every moment matters.
Please keep this little one in your thoughts today.
3/25/26 Update: Charlie captured everyone’s heart. A few days ago he had his eye removal surgery and he is recovering well.
Thank you to the Doctors and Staff at Orion Animal Hospital, his rescuer Janice, and our supporters who helped give Charlie a better chance of a Brighter Future.
He still needs a place to call home so if interested in more information please email Janice at janniecc@gmail.com
3/12/26 Update: Charlie has been neutered, vaccinated, and treated for an eye condition. Unfortunately, despite treatment, his eye has not improved and will need to be surgically removed to relieve his pain and prevent further complications.
His surgery is scheduled for March 20th, and 4 Paws 1 Heart will be covering the cost to make sure Charlie gets the care he needs. This surgery will help give him a more comfortable life.
Please keep Charlie in your thoughts as he prepares for surgery, and as always, thank you for supporting the work that makes cases like Charlie’s possible.
2/3/26: Found on a woman’s property, this young, tiny boy was scared and suffering from eye damage. Despite it all, he makes the sweetest little “nom nom” sounds when he eats.
Janis named him Charlie.
During his exam at the hospital, it was discovered that his eyelid is adhered to his cornea, and he also tested positive for coccidia. We were able to step in and sponsor his medical care, and Charlie is scheduled to be neutered this week.
He’s safe now, getting the care he needs, and one step closer to a brighter future.
Mama was found injured, and after approving X-rays, it was discovered that her front right leg was badly broken beyond repair.
Amputation surgery was necessary—and we were able to say yes, giving her the second chance she deserves.
Mama is also FIV positive, which makes her second chance even more meaningful. Through it all, her rescuer, Jennifer, never gave up—networking tirelessly to find the perfect placement where Mama could safely recover after surgery and go on to live a happy, comfortable indoor life.
She’s the beautiful gray and white kitty, now healing, making new friends, and doing so well.
3/23/26: This homeless dog was found on the street, no one claimed him, and he tested positive for advanced Heartworm Disease. His rescuer decided to keep him and here is the update from yesterday:
Dear Gina and the 4 Paws 1 Heart team,
I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your help. You supported us without hesitation and truly saved my dog’s life.
As of March 10th, he is officially heartworm-free. His health has completely improved; he has so much more energy and is much happier overall. He can finally play, go for walks, and just be a dog again. The veterinarian at All About Animals mentioned that he likely had heartworms for about three years, which had caused his heart to double in size.
You are the reason he has this second chance to live a normal, happy life. My entire family is so relieved, and we appreciate your organization more than you could ever imagine.
