Dear Friends, our fundraisers are an integral part in our ability to save the abandoned and abused. Please sign up and share our Painting With a Twist fundraiser being held November 10 in Shelby Township. Get your tickets early because last April it was a sell out. Take the opportunity to make this a fun night with friends. We’ll have appetizers and wine to enjoy while your creating a great work of art; and, as always, we’ll have great raffle prizes.~ diana

Ali – Prepares for His Second Surgery – Needs Prayers and Donations
Your Prayers and donations are strongly needed for this very sweet foster puppy, Ali. Some of you may remember that on May 5th he was abandoned with a terrible injury from getting closed in a recliner. His left rear leg was nearly cut off and two of his toes on the other leg were severed off. He was just 2 days old. 4 paws 1 heart has covered his medical since and I have been fostering and raising him. It’s been a long road and the most challenging case I’ve ever taken on, but as you can see he is a happy healthy puppy that is now 5 months old. Ali needs 2 final surgeries. Today we spent almost 7 hours on a road trip to Michigan State Veterinary College of Medicine where surgery on his scar tissue is scheduled for tomorrow morning. The estimate is $1800 to $2000. The reason for surgery is (1) To release the tension on his skin being caused by the scar tissue as he is growing. (2) He has a festering wound and is limping on the foot due to a piece of dislocated bone leftover from the injury. I will pick him up on Wednesday and he will then need 2 weeks of recovery. Our commitment to each animal involves finishing what we started. This is a hefty expense for our group especially at this time when we are swamped with requests for help. $2000 could save a lot of animals, but what do we do? Ali still needs a forever home and I truly believe that we were put here to give him a second chance for a reason. Please help us help him if you can. ♡ ♡♡♡ Gina.

Fundraiser to Benefit the Abandoned and Abused
Are you ready for another good party?? Get out of the work week doldrums by joining us for our first ever SOCK HOP on Thursday, October 27. And, if you are anything like our Gina and don’t know what a Sock Hop is, just check out Happy Days. Thank you to the WaterMark, the newest restaurant on the Nautical Mile, St. Clair Shores, for hosting us. All for a great cause — animals who have been abandoned and abused. Wristbands are purchased at the door.
4 Paws 1 Heart – Critically Low on Funds
Dear Friends of 4 Paws 1 Heart,
We are at another critical juncture where our bank account balance is at the lowest it has been in the last few years and we need your help.
As all of you have seen from our postings, we have saved the lives of many animals this year and took on some very serious cases. This is in addition to the hundreds of cats and kittens we have spayed/neutered and vaccinated. The total number of cats and dogs we have helped so far this year is a little over 800 at a cost of $106,000 ($11,778 per month) !! In 2015, we spent $125,000 (10,417 per month) in medical bills. And, as many of you know, we never spend more than we have. So unless donations increase, we will have to turn away from some who need our help.
I will continue to report on the many who we’ve helped up until this point. There are more animals to report on then there are days in the year.
Please consider making a donation today. It is only with the generosity of our supporters that we can make miracles happen. A donation link can be found on this page, on our website www.4paws1heart.org, or donations can be paid through the mail at P.O. Box 84, St. Clair Shores, MI 48080. Thank YOU.

Donate to Save a Life – Odin with his Fur Brother
7/11/16 – As is typical for this time of year, donations have been very slow. I know that our friends are busy with summer activities and most people don’t realize that summer months can be brutal for stray and abandoned animals. In just the past couple of weeks we have spent over $10,000 in cases involving parvo, heart worm, broken legs, cancer, urinary blockages, — you name it, we’ve been there. This does not include the 30+ cats and kittens we have vetted and neutered/spayed. And this is just in 2 WEEKS. So, if you can, please consider making a donation to save a life. Donations can be made through paypal by clicking on the ‘donate’ button on this page or by mail at P.O. Box 84, St. Clair Shores, MI 48080.
I want to share this updated photo of our Odin to show our donors how their dollars do make a difference. Odin was hit by a car and temporarily paralyzed. Gina fostered him for one year and then that perfect family came along. This boy hasn’t stopped smiling since his forever family fell in love with him.

4 Paws 1 Heart is Named “Chevy Detroit Champion”
7/2/16 – 4 Paws 1 Heart is very proud to have been selected as a Chevy Detroit Champion http://chevydetroit.com/4-paws-1-heart/
Please take note of my beautiful Chevy Camaro, and the personalized pillow gifted to me by our friend, Angie Burns, who is a distributor for Thirty One Gifts. What a great way of memorializing an event or a person. AND, our Cookie, who is still looking for a forever family.
