10/14/15 – You don’t know how much I hate this but donations have been very, very slow and we are now at an all-time low that may restrict us from doing anything other than minor vet visits and low-cost spaying/neutering. Although our generous veterinarians provide us with discounts, veterinarian bills are still expensive and there is no way of getting around it. How can we turn our backs when an animal may lose an eye or is dying of heart worm or parvo?? With just Chance and Sommerset, we have paid over $4,000 in medical bills. But, can we really say no when these animals have so much will to live?? From January 1 through October 15, 2015, 4 Paws 1 Heart has paid $104,000 in medical bills. An amazing feat for such a small organization which started just 5 years ago in southeast Michigan. Please, please consider making a donation. I know the Detroit Lions have been disappointing but as die-hard fans, don’t you still want to try and root them on to victory against the Green Bay Packers? We may even understand if you root for the Packers (I said understand not like it). Join us for a fun afternoon at Colleens’s Irish Pub, St. Clair Shores, MI rooting for whoever you would like and just enjoying the friendship of like-minded people who care about all animals.
