Snowball – RIP – Her Spine Was Broken and She Couldn’t be Saved
11/9/18 -119/18 – Her spine was broken and she couldn’t control her faculties; the ultimate difficult decision had to be made. A huge thank you for those who rescued her so she wouldn’t die alone on the street. And, as always, we are so thankful for Dr. Natalie Zalac of Orion Animal Hospital. – diana

Lucy – Found With a Serious Wound After Being Attacked by Young Boys
11/4/18 – Meet Lucy who is now in her forever home. She was rescued when a person saw a couple of young boys throwing rocks at her. When the finder picked her up she saw a three inch wound that turned out to be a chemical burn. The finder notified her friend who took in Lucy and that friend, Amanda, contacted us for help. Lucy was in so much pain, she couldn’t stop shaking. We immediately had her see a vet who started treatment. Lucy was seen a couple of times before she finally was mended. We are so happy that Lucy is now in a loving home never to be tortured or abused again. ~ diana

Binx – Halloween Kittie was Brought to the People, Pets, and Vets Event
11/4/18 –
Update on Halloween kitten..
Yesterday the wound on his chest looked much better, he is eating on his own, and he is getting stronger. Our organization had a booth over at MCC center campus and I brought this little guy along because he is a perfect example if our mission. If we didn’t pay for medical for stray animals like this they would most often just be put to sleep.. That is the reality of it..and its because of our supporters that this little guy is here today.
At the event we made a list of name suggestions from the little kids that passed through and pet this baby. Please vote on your favorite name. * Skully, Spirit, Tiny, Piper, Boo, Demi, Pumpkin, Lenny, Shadow, Oreo, Moonlight, Lucky, Sox, Mittens, Jack black, Fluffy, Cupcake, Max, Spooky, Bones, Mummy, Saber, Jack, Frankie, Star, Spice, Binkx, Black jack, Black panther, William*. Little Grey – Raw Paws and Infested With Fleas
11/4/18 – Little Grey showed up in a cat community be cared for near a local restaurant. The security guard noticed that he kept crying and seemed to be walking with difficulty. We had Little Grey seen by one of our vets who noticed that the little guy’s paws were raw. Little Grey was provided with antibiotics and was eventually vaccinated, tested, and neutered — all complements of 4 Paws 1 Heart and our great supporters. What would all of these abandoned and abused dogs and cats do without our Village?? ~ diana

Halloween Kitty – Still Fighting
Halloween baby update..
Things have just taken a little bit of a turn 🙁 I just noticed that the area on his chest appears to be infected and the skin is starting to slough off. There is a chest wound about 2.5 inches long and 1 inch wide that might be road rash or a burn from a car. He might have been up in the engine area trying to keep warm. He feels feverish. Thank God I happen to have antibiotics, burn cream, and bandage material. I gave some fluids under the skin for hydration, bandaged his chest wound, gave him antibiotics and pain meds.
🙁 Now he is resting comfortably in my lap. This little guy has a LOT going on, but he will get through this, Gina
Halloween Kitty – Starting to Improve
11/1/18 Update on Halloween kitten..
Today he has made baby steps of improvement. He is less painful and definitely more alert. To be honest, I wasn’t sure if I’d wake up to a deceased kitten and I was so relieved when he was looking up at me with those big beautiful eyes this morning.. He can sit up and stand today, but he can’t walk yet. He is not weight bearing on his right rear, and I think he has some broken ribs. Yesterday he was in shock and I was really worried he might be paralyzed or bleeding internally. I’m syringe feeding because his appetite isn’t great. He is also on a handful of other treatments ( stool softener, topical antibiotics, anti inflammatory, pain medication, and fluids). He is very delicate, but I’m hoping that every day he gets stronger. The prayers DO work. Thank you all and I’ll update tomorrow. Gina

Prayers needed for a baby who needs all the prayers he can get right now.
On this Halloween, I took an injured stray kitten home from work. He has what looks like road rash or a burn on his belly, some bruising, and some internal trauma, and he can’t stand. Not sure what happened, but I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to see him pull through! 🙁 4 paws 1 heart will cover all medical needed, but as of right now he needs pain meds and time to heal within. I’m hoping by morning I will see some baby steps of improvement. I will not force him to suffer, and I cannot expect him to make a miraculous recovery overnight. Just looking for baby steps in the right direction. Paws crossed..
