One Day Old Kittens Found on a Construction Site

3/31/16 – Update on the 4 one-day old kittens rescued yesterday — the MOM has been trapped. Coordination is currently taking place to have mama tested and treated for fleas if needed. Then the whole family will be once again united and given to our friends at Furever Tails Animal Rescue. Here is a recent photo of the babies taken by temporary mom, Amanda. ~ Diana4kittenstrappedw:gracelegreley 3:31:16

Domino – He Knew the Right Porch to Visit

3/30/16 – Meet Domino – She showed up on the porch of our friend Natalie. Natalie is the person who took in her friend’s cats after her friend was found murdered in her home. 4 Paws 1 Heart was happy to help Natalie then and once again she needed our help. Little Domino is under one year old and very small for her age. She is very sweet and Natalie felt strongly that she had been someone’s pet. Unfortunately, all attempts to find an owner have thus far failed. 4 Paws 1 Heart has taken care of all medical needs and Natalie will find Domino his forever home. ~ dianadominow:nataliemeray

Harry – No Owners Could Be Found

3/28/16 – This little guy showed up in the yard of the rescuer. The family tried every avenue to find an owner but was unsuccessful. 4 Paws 1 Heart paid for Harry to be vaccinated and tested; he will be neutered this week. His rescuer had him groomed for Easter and will be sending us an updated photo. This is what the poor little guy looked like when found. It’s only with your donations, can we continue to help the abandoned and abused. ~ dianaHarry3:28:16

Faith – Hoping to Make Another Miracle Happen

3/26/16 – We hope to make another miracle happen. Meet Faith and check out her facebook page, All About Faith, to keep updated on her progress. Today she met with Dr. Tari Kern of Pawsitive Steps Rehabilitation and Therapy for Pets. Dr. Kern is cautiously optimistic that, with the proper treatment, Faith will be able to walk again (just like our little Chance). Today she received acupuncture, physical therapy, and Shelly (her rescuer) will be putting her through specific exercises until her next doctor visit. Dr. Kern thinks the bullet may be from an older injury and the paralysis may have been caused from a fall, a bite, or a car injury. Here is what the rescuer told us when she first contacted 4 Paws 1 Heart and what was done prior to her visit to Dr. Kern this morning: ~ diana

“Faith is a sweet little girl, about six months to a year old. On March 22, 2016 my mother found her laying in her front yard, unable to walk. She was a stray kitten that my mom was feeding for several months along with another cat. My mom took her to Krause Veterinary Clinic in Armada Michigan where they treated her pain and did an x-ray. Although they couldn’t find any reason for the paralysis, they did find that she was shot in the upper back with a lead bullet. On March 24, 2016 she was brought to my home where I’ll be taking care of her. Her furever home is with my family. On March 23rd I contacted 4 Paws 1 Heart asking for help. Immediately I received an e-mail from Diana saying they will help Faith. We are currently in the process of finding follow-up care for Faith. We need to see if the bullet should be removed. See if she is paralyzed and if so what we can do for her. We have FAITH that she will be blessed with a long life. No matter what, we are not giving up on her. She deserves all the human kindness we can give her to show her that she should still have FAITH in mankind. Faith may have a long road to recovery ahead of her but, along with the help of 4 Paws 1 Heart, we will be with her every step of the way.~ Shelly”faith3:25:16

Cookie – Update

3/24/16 – cookie3:25:16Cookie is doing awesome and she is such a sweetheart! I love her to pieces. Tonight she got a warm bath and she is responding very well to her medication. We think she is doxin/chihuahua mix. Super loving little girl. I’ll never understand how someone could dump her the way they did, but it brought us together. She will have a wonderful life from now on. ♡ Gina

Cookie – Update

3/24/16 – We had the pleasure of getting a visit from Gina and Cookie yesterday. Cookie is so sweet and I just thank God that she found her way to Gina. This poor baby has been so abused and traumatized in her short life; you can just see it in her eyes. Gina will be fostering Cookie until a permanent home is found. Right now it’s all about healing her body and her spirit. Everyone in Gina’s household loves her. ~ dianacookieandgina3:24:16
