Ginger Update

3/29/15 – The last day of the weekend brings our last happy update – GINGER. She was rescued from the streets of Grosse Pointe Park. No one claimed her and 4 Paws 1 Heart paid to have her examined by a veterinarian where it was found that she had an old gunshot wound and was heart worm positive. Some of the metal was taken out of her leg but a couple of weeks later, we decided to have another veterinarian examine her. There it was found that she had a serious leg infection and had multiple fractures in her foot. The good news is that this past week, Ginger found her forever dad and will be spoiled like a princess while she is treated for all of her illnesses and injuries. Here is Ginger when first found and now in her new home. Can you see the new hope in her eyes? ~ dianaginger in her new homew:brendandever3:25:15gingerwginapiscopo3615-225x300

SONIC (aka DINO) – A Miracle

3/28/15 – Good Morning Update – SONIC (aka Dino):

It was 9/30/14, shortly after he was brought into the emergency after being attacked by a large breed terrier that Gina reported this update: “Last night this 12 week old kitten underwent major surgery to repair the holes in his body wall. He also needed a feeding tube placed because of the damage to the roof of his mouth. Today, he is recovering better than we expected, but it could take several weeks before his mouth heals. Sonic not only survived a dog attack but he survived the surgery which was a risk, for a 3# young kitten. He is full of kisses, purring, and so full of appreciation today.” It was a couple of months later when Sonic was adopted by dear friends of ours but again he needed surgery for teeth damaged during the attack. He came out of the surgery like a champ and here is a before and today photo of our sweet boy. ~ diana

RYKER UPDATE – An Amputated Leg Hasn’t Kept Him From Love

3/27/15 – Happy Week-End Updates – Ryker (meaning Strength):

In May 2014 this little sweetheart was brought in by a good Samaritan. He was attacked by two German Shepherds. He underwent two hours of surgery with Dr. Rivera due to severe wounds to his body; his intestines and bladder were actually on the outside of his abdominal wall and needed emergency surgery that night. He eventually had to have his broken leg amputated. After many weeks of hospitalization made possible with funds from 4 Paws 1 Heart, Ryker recovered and found his forever home. Here is a before and today photo. His name is now Max. ~ diana

Honey – Roaming the Streets and Having Seizures

Please Help! We need your help to get this baby girl into a foster home or rescue asap. Last week I was contacted by a friend who heard of this girl that was found roaming the streets. She is about 7 yrs old but it’s just a guess. She weighs about 10# and she was having seizures. I offered to help the lady who is temporarily holding onto “Honey”. We did a full work-up at the vet and began her on a low dose of Anti-Seizure medication. Honey has until next week to go, and we are searching for help.. Please email me for more information. Personality seems very sweet. Gina [email protected]honey honey3.26:15 honey3:26:15::::
